The Marlton Hotel

We saw only upsides during our six-day stay at this charming, well located and friendly hotel. The Partnership with Chez Nous is also a huge plus.

This is a gem of a place! I have not stayed in the hotel rooms, but I absolutely love coming to the gorgeous hotel lobby to have coffee and co-work at the big wooden table in the coffee area. They have it set up so well, so that writers like myself (or anyone) can enjoy the space, alongside guests who are eating in the main restaurant area. I especially appreciate the kindness, hospitality, and positive energy of the people who work here! Chris (one of the servers) is a favorite. He somehow perfectly manages a dozen details at once to keep everything flowing while making each person feel seen, heard, and appreciated. He brings a special energy to the space! The Marlton is very lucky to have him. With so much gratitude for making such a welcoming space for both New Yorkers and visitors.

We booked this hotel for a three-night stay but ultimately checked out after the first night. To the staff's credit, they handled our request professionally and only charged us for the one night we stayed. The biggest issue for us was the size of the room. It was so small that the only practical place to put our luggage was on the limited floor space, which meant having to step over suitcases to move around the bed. We understand that hotel rooms in NYC can be compact, but this felt particularly cramped, particularly for a multi-night stay. The public areas were clean, but they felt dated and in need of updating. The lobby featured several large communal tables, and nearly every time we passed through, people were working on laptops. It had more of a coffee-shop workspace vibe than a comfortable hotel lounge. On the positive side, the breakfast was good, and the service throughout our brief stay was friendly and accommodating. Had the hotel offered more attractive, updated rooms and common areas, we might have been more willing to overlook the very small room size. As it stands, I think this hotel is best suited for travelers who prioritize location and don't mind compact accommodations or somewhat dated public spaces.

Rooms are small but include amenities and welcoming lobby space compensates. Great bed and linens, robes, slippers, etc. Service is friendly. Location can't be beat!

A great experience in The West Village - from the moment we arrived we were greeted with friendly staff and made to feel like we had come home. Comfy rooms and great location! Would definitely book again :)

I love the intimate and moody atmosphere. All the details are spectacular. The penthouse is totally worth it for the views, even with rain, and the soaking tub is great for a little pampering. Overall room is amazing, staff are attentive, and location can’t be beat. 10/10 recommend

Front desk is great! Rooms are nice cozy little tidy things. Loved staying here for a long weekend!

I love staying here and it’s the best hotel, but the prices have hiked up so much in a year - so rooms are expensive for their size.

Location is perfect. The hotel is quaint and stylish. Small but mighty. Very clean and friendly staff.
