Check your bill before checking out! We stayed one night: they charged us two nights for parking WE DID NOT HAVE A CAR: WE TRAVELED BY UBER!!! Had Marriott Amex card on file for charges: disputed charge and AMEX sent me a copy of the bill where they charged us! Marriott and Amex are in cahoots to rip off customers!

As a photographer with Complete Weddings + Events, walking into The Marquette in Peoria never gets old. This venue is something truly special, a breathtaking step back in time to an era when elegant ballrooms were the heart of society. Every detail whispers 1920s grandeur, and it creates an atmosphere that is both romantic and completely unforgettable. The space works beautifully for every part of the wedding day. Cocktail hour feels sophisticated and lively, and when guests enter for dinner, the room commands a genuine sense of awe. That reaction never gets old to witness or to capture. As a photographer, The Marquette is an absolute playground. The architecture, the light, the textures, there are so many incredible and unexpected spots throughout the venue that make for truly stunning images. Every couple walks away with a gallery that feels cinematic and timeless. If you want a wedding that feels like a moment lifted straight out of the golden age of elegance, The Marquette knows how to make your day feel special!

The rooms were small, and they only give one regular coffee for the machine in the room. So if you stay with your better half, you have to flip for who gets the coffee. The building really shows its age. But the staff in the concierge lounge was nice, as was the bartender. No draft beers, but an okay selection of bottles and cans.

The hotel lobby area was nice. The front desk staff was nice but unfortunately, i didn’t have a good stay. I requested a roll away bed on my reservation, I also asked at the front desk and they advised it would be delivered. I called down to the front desk 3 additional times and was told housekeeping would deliver the bed but they never did. It was a very uncomfortable night. I’m a loyal Marriott member but won’t be returning here.

Poor customer service. Our group of three was enjoying sandwiches in the extended lobby area, which apparently becomes part of the hotel restaurant in the evening. The area was almost completely empty when security approached us and told us to move to the Marriott Courtyard lobby to eat. Maybe all that was required was ordering a drink, who knows they did not care to explain, the rude and abrupt manner of the security officer was completely uncalled for. For the price we paid that night — over $450 — the experience was disappointing. As far as amenities - the pool and hot tub were not available, as advertised, during a very busy weekend, which made the stay feel even less worthwhile. On top of that, the breakfast buffet was awful and parking is a big hassle. If you’re a Marriott loyalty member, I’d recommend staying at the Courtyard instead — or honestly, somewhere else entirely. There are better options I’m sure. Would not recommend.

Nice rooms comfy pillows and friendly staff. If you have heavy luggage definitely use the valet for the car instead of carrying through the garage and walkway... long walk lol. But very nice place. Would def use valet next time. Also close to the prairie theater for concerts! Good location 👌🏻
