Penn's View Hotel

I stayed here on a Sunday night and although the hotel is very charming and in a great location, I wasn't really able to get some rest. The walls and floors are very thin so I could hear the person above me pacing across the room multiple times late at night, every time anyone open or closed a door from a room near me I could hear it very loudlyand it kept waking me up and for some reason they gave me a wake up call at 8am the next day which must have been a mistake because I didn't request that but they woke me up and I was trying to catch up on sleep due to getting woken up multiple times by all the noise. If you're a heavy sleeper you might be fine but I unfortunately need a more quiet hotel. I understand mistakes happen but getting that accident wake up call was the cherry on top for me :(

Unfortunately, the hotel's location is not quiet, but we were allowed to stay in a different room. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The location of this hotel is quite convenient, and the rooms are nice and clean. However, the front desk staffer on Tuesday morning did not greet my friend and I when we arrived, and simply informed us check-in was at 3 pm. He didn’t even tell us about their early check-in policy, which we would have willingly paid.

I had a great stay here. I was in town to do the touristy stuff related to the revolutionary war. The hotel is in a perfect location close to all the attractions, convenient to highly rated food. The hotel is unique, cozy, clean, and the staff is friendly. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone coming to Philadelphia for a visit.

This place is beautiful, room was fun, had a great view of the Walt Whitman bridge. Coffee and muffins in the morning were great. Close to subway and bus stops. Easily walkable to everywhere. Only downside, rooms don’t have fridge or microwave, plus traffic and lights always loud. I would gladly stay here again!

Lovely little hotel. The room was clean and spacious and the staff was friendly. Easy to walk to everything in Old Town. Despite proximity to the street I found my room to be quiet. The balcony is a bit impractical but nice to have the door open on a warm day. Nice happy hour in the evening downstairs as well.

It's a good place from which to stroll downtown. Beds are warm, especially considering our arrival in winter. You can see the river shimmering in mornings. Some rooms have small balconies.
