Kimberly Beasejour was a great host for the Hammond Starzecki wedding

I’m just going to start this off by saying, there is a large homeless population that stays outside of this hotel nearly 24/7. I’m talking a party of 30-40 people at a time, either taking up half of the small block that’s hardly 2 doors down from this hotel, or literally just chilling in the hotels outdoor eatery. Listen— I don’t judge, and I’m from NY. But when you stay at a hotel, this is less than desirable. There’s no security near the hotel either. To put this into perspective, you will be loading and unloading your belongings while individuals are not only doing drugs but are cranky, and even argumentative from a come down. The room was dirty upon arrival as well. Crumby floor, earring backings and paper clips from previous guests, hair in the bathroom that was unused by us. The floors were very obviously stained as well at the window curtains- ew!!! When we told the front desk that we were unhappy with the state of the room, he happily offered to sweep. But it just wasn’t enough for what the situation was. I knew a formal breakfast was not included, so I was surprised when the front desk made it known that pastries, tea, & coffee would be offered. Mind you, this fruit was either spoiled or way unripened. Oh, and if you ever needed water, there is no re-fill area beside a bucket in the lobby that gets filled maybe once every few hours, and will sit empty for most of the day. You need to ask the front desk for water. Do you enjoy tea or a hot beverage? Here you won’t! Because 3/4 of the days we were here, there was no hot water. Literally stay anywhere else is my suggestion.

My wife and I stayed here in June 2026. The hotel is really nice, and the room we stayed in looked newly refurbished, was spacious, and the bed was amazing. I'm just taking one star off because the gym is very dated. The multi gym machine at the back is broken, and there just wasn't enough equipment to get a decent workout. We chose this hotel because it had a gym so it was disappointing. The manager, Brad, was super nice to us. He's a gem.

This one was right downtown. Everything was within walking distance. It was great!

The hotel's downtown location was very convenient and made it easy to walk to many of the places we wanted to visit. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not match the luxury boutique hotel image presented on the website. One of the biggest surprises was the large homeless population gathered directly outside the hotel. At any given time, there were often 20–30 people on the street and in the adjacent public park area. While I did not personally experience any aggressive behavior, the situation was significant enough that I was surprised it was never mentioned by hotel staff or addressed in any pre-arrival communication. The park connected to the hotel's restaurant outdoor seating area was frequently occupied as well, making it less inviting for guests looking to enjoy a morning coffee outside. The rooms felt dated and lacked the upscale boutique atmosphere we were expecting. Other disappointments included the absence of water refill stations and a very limited morning coffee setup. The hotel's restaurant was also closed to hotel guests for private events throughout the entire weekend, so we were unable to experience the food or dining options advertised. There was no room service available either. I'm giving 2 stars because the location itself was excellent for exploring downtown on foot, but overall the experience fell well short of expectations. Greater transparency about the surrounding street conditions, better communication regarding restaurant availability, and updates to the property would have gone a long way toward improving our stay.

Clean rooms, good breakfast, Apryl’s service was excellent

Smack in the middle of night life and top restaurants. Minutes away from the river walk. Apryl, our server for breakfast, was so nice and attentive. The place even has a dog size couch and treats in the lobby four the puppies

Room was spacious but carpet was durty. Not a place for someone with allergies. Location, despite being central and close to nice restaurants, is the point where homeless concentrate. Does not feel safe and they do approach you. Service was also a lowlight. No one around - feels like an abandoned hotel. In addition, lack of maintenance everywhere- elevator floor all broken tiles, entrance door with funny noise (lubricant needed), fitness center distroyed. And the price was extremely high due to graduation weekend

The hotel itself is lovely, and both the front desk staff and valet service were amazing. However, we had two rooms booked for our daughter’s wedding, and one of the rooms had a water leak in the bathroom that was never properly addressed, despite multiple complaints over two days. The leak was coming from the upstairs room. Housekeeping did mop up the floor, but large puddles kept forming, and my sons ultimately had to use our room’s bathroom instead. My daughter stayed in the “Roger Williams Suite,” and the kitchen sink did not work. There was also a coffee station, but it was empty, and I had to request coffee. Guests should also be aware that there is a soup kitchen across the street, and we observed some drug activity in the area. Since posting this, the General Manager had reached out to me and acknowledged the issues that we had.

Apryl was so friendly. I normally don't chat much when I die alone but she made me feel so welcome and we had a wonderfully engaging chat. She's the best!

A very large room and a well-located hotel. Very pleasant staff. No breakfast; you have to go to the restaurant next door. Parking is $45, which is a bit expensive.
