Visited The Z in San Antonio back in May and again in August, and after multiple visits, it definitely deserves a proper review. It’s clear a lot of care and intention goes into maintaining this space. From the start, the check-in process was smooth, discreet, and professional. You do need to be a member, but that’s easy to take care of — you can sign up directly with the front desk clerk when you arrive. For first-time visitors, the one-day membership plus a locker is $40, which feels more than fair considering everything that’s included. Inside, the facility is clean, organized, and well-maintained throughout. The infrared sauna and steam room are standout features — relaxing, spacious, and perfect for unwinding. The shower area is thoughtfully designed and kept very clean, which honestly makes a huge difference in a space like this. There are private changing rooms and lockers, adding an extra level of comfort and privacy. The overall layout feels intentional, with a variety of themed spaces and areas offering different forms of entertainment and ambiance. Everything is clearly designated, so it never feels chaotic or overwhelming. For those who enjoy exploring, there’s a maze-style area, a dark room, and additional specialty rooms, all separated in a way that keeps the experience respectful and well-structured. There is also a BDSM-designated room, which is clearly labeled and kept separate, allowing guests to choose the environments that suit them. What really sets The Z apart is how safe, clean, and professionally run it feels. The atmosphere is inclusive, discreet, and welcoming, and it’s obvious the staff takes pride in maintaining the space and the experience. Overall, if you’re looking for a well-managed, adult-oriented, LGBTQ-friendly venue in San Antonio that prioritizes cleanliness, comfort, and variety, The Z absolutely delivers. Definitely deserving of a 5-star rating.

If you’re black this place isn’t for you. The front treats you very well like everyone else. But once you’re in the back with the other guys you get ignored and looked over and a few looks of disgust. I’m a very attractive thicker build guy bald and bearded I don’t usually get turned down, but here in San Antonio, specifically here at the Z there’s racial tension. Gay Black men need a place where they can go to here in San Antonio. Been here three times. Same thing every time. Save your money black kings go somewhere else. .

This person is correct. The building (kids or not) is VERY misleading & uninviting... Unless you're an Adult Male who has researched the place ahead of time, don't go in!

Always have a good time, but the place needs a dark room like ACI had. Good times.

I've been here a couple of times and would definitely come back. The place is nice. As a positive suggestion, I'd say it could use a jacuzzi, for example, near the restrooms where that unnecessary bed is. Perhaps a spa with a massage therapist and a bar would be great and would attract more customers. The staff is very friendly and it's always clean. They deserve to grow much more! Thanks for everything!

Let me say first of all.... I'm old enough to remember when there were three bath houses in San Antonio. And yes and yes before they moved and changed their name I went to ACI. Then the concerns about price..... It is relative I've been to both Club Dallas , Club Houston and a few others.... And the price is not bad when you look at what you're getting so to speak. And then for the other yeah you just won't accidentally walk into the place and see something you shouldn't see. And the staff is always great super nice super friendly. And even some of the other guests when I find them out about are super nice and super friendly. That's why I have been going back for the last few years and renewed membership.

People complaining that the building is misleading and children can easily walk in are a joke. 1st of all if you have kids YOU are responsible for them, not others. 2nd I’m sure they have staff that will redirect them to the exit. People need to chill or find real issues. Better yet mind your own business.
