Excellent location, excellent service from the staff. Adriana at reception was very friendly and helped me with several questions and recommendations.

Honestly most of the staff was fantastic. There was an older man behind the counter working the nightshift who was extremely rude to me. Maybe he was just having a rough day but it still took me off guard. Other than that the room was clean and the location was great.

We stayed here for an event and found the experience to be average overall. Parts of the hotel appeared to be under renovation, and the temporary drapes and barriers made it feel somewhat unfinished and confusing to navigate. We booked a Studio Suite, but it felt quite small—many hotels would market a room of this size as a standard guest room rather than a suite. The windows were noticeably dirty, and the room itself felt plain and lacking warmth or character. On the positive side, the staff were pleasant, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. While the location is convenient, there are several better hotel options in San Francisco at similar price points. Based on this experience, I would choose to stay elsewhere on a future visit.

My wife and I stayed in a Great King room Fri-6/5 thru Mon-6/8. It's an older historic building but the room was clean with a great view and a fair value for the price considering adjacent hotels. The paid parking next door was convenient and we felt comfortable with the parking attendants. The only thing is the customer service kind of sucked. Friday night we had no issues but Saturday afternoon the lights in the bathroom went out. The recessed can light above the shower and the bulb over the mirror died so at night the bathroom was completely dark. I mentioned it to the staff Saturday afternoon and they said that they were sending someone to fix it but nobody came. Sunday I asked again but they kind of treated me like an idiot and explained in annoyingly slow and patronizing speech how a motion sensor switch works. I'm not elderly I know how a motion sensor switch works. They were doing construction in the room above and I think they caused a short or something because Saturday morning the bathroom lights went out completely and the bathroom switch started turning the closet lightbulb on and off instead. My wife and I laughed about this as one of those quirky things that happens but the hotel staff just didn't care to do anything about it. I took showers in the dark Saturday and Sunday night with a little bit of the city lights from the bathroom window. I thought they would at least offer to move us to a different room with working lights but they did nothing. At checkout I mentioned this to a different desk manager, I think her name was Claudia? She sort of turned it back on me and said "Why didn't you let us know?" I said I did, twice. Then she just asked "Was it a man you asked?" It was. She seemed to have some sort of a personal vendetta with the guy working the desk and was glad I told her something she could get him in trouble for, but she didn't seem to care at all about how that impacted our stay and really didn't offer anything or even say sorry for the inconvenience. It's not a huge deal, but it did show me that the staff here really doesn't care about customer service very much. Still the room was great (besides the dark bathroom), the housekeeping staff was very nice dare I say stellar, and the rates were fair. I don't know if I'd stay here again just because the desk managers seemed annoyed by my existence, but I really did have a wonderful time visiting San Francisco (dark bathroom and all).

Should have taken more picutes. But this is great hotel. Great view, nice windows seat. Nice bathroom. Water pressure is kinda low? But I think this is more San fransisco thing. Amazing spot, very close to many big tech offices (open Ai, anthropic, Google), many restaurants. You get water and ice, nice bar. And the front desk is super friendly and helpful. They tell you about room credit and places to go and visit If you get windows view, have fun finding Easter egg around. See if you spot a few in the pictures haha. One step at a time,
