I booked Hostelfish for a one night stopover because Seattle is so extraordinarily expensive. But at $175 for two bunks in a 4-bunk basic room (toilets and shower down the hall) it was not worth the savings. The room had zero ventilation (one small window facing an alley to no air flow) and no fan. Seattle was having unusually warm weather but the room was 95 degrees, which made for absolutely miserable sleeping conditions. A small fan to move the air would have been a huge improvement. The 4th bunk was unoccupied until 2 am when a staff member opened the door, flipped on the fluorescent overhead light, and showed a guy to his bed. My husband had to get up and turn it off when they left. All in all, a terrible experience.

Stayed here as a group of 4- good location for downtown Seattle- 10-15 mins walk from Pike place, great local restaurants. Good comms and efficient, friendly staff, Use of kitchen facilities, Fridays and coffee on tap 😄. Can be noisy ( outside) and no lift, but not big issues , Highly recommend

Pros: Best location. H Mart is within walking distance. The Waterfront is also accessible. The area with the Chiweli Museum and similar attractions is only a 10-minute walk away. Nordstrom Shopping Street and the Market are all within walking distance. Insane location. The staff are kind and friendly. The bathroom is incredibly clean. They seem to clean it very diligently. There is a bar on the first floor, so you can comfortably cheer for soccer matches or similar events. The prices are relatively affordable, and the lively atmosphere makes everyone mingle well. Blackout curtains are available. The kitchen is clean. There is a space in the basement to hang out and play board games. The Wi-Fi is fast. Now for the Cons. No air conditioning. If you close the windows and draw the blackout curtains, it gets hotter than the outside temperature, so in the summer, you might end up sweating profusely while sleeping. My roommates and I agreed to leave the windows slightly open, even though it is too noisy to sleep with them open. If you are visiting in the middle of summer, you should think twice. On the day of my visit, only one out of three washing machines was in operation. The bed is somewhat susceptible to vibration. It shakes a bit even if someone just walks next to you. It isn't quiet. It's in a lively district, and if you go out and walk just one block to the right, there are some homeless people. I don't know why, but a lot of flies get into the lobby. My nose got stuffy from allergies, maybe because there were huge clumps of dust under the stairs of the bunk beds in the dormitory. Something feels a bit lacking. For example, there is no desk to put laundry on before putting it in your bag after washing it. It is also awkward to find a place to put your pajamas or hang your bag in the shower room. A hostel with clear pros and cons.

Friendly, efficient & helpful staff! Location is GREAT! Bed comfortable. Back patio is private and peaceful. Front entry and small bar area are welcoming.

Stayed here for 5 days. The staff is brilliant! But the staying conditions are not up to the mark. I got a really bad skin allergy after spending time here

The staff was extra friendly & helpful from the moment we walked in until the moment we checked out. The rooms & bathrooms were clean & comfy while the accommodations were relaxing & fun. Great location & service. Also...they held our luggage for free while we ventured Seattle, & gave us a place to hang when our flight was delayed. I will definitely book here again the next time I find myself back in this hustling & bustling city.
