Courtyard by Marriott Tacoma Downtown

I found the hotel to be very comfortable, and both the room and the bathroom were exceptionally clean. The location is excellent and within easy walking distance of local restaurants. Additionally, the staff has been very helpful with all of my requests.

I was looking for a quiet room for the Fourth of July holiday for my acoustically challenged child. This is a solid, heavily built hotel with excellent sound proofed windows in the acoustical shadow of the convention center across the street. Despite a barrage of fireworks from Hilltop, firework alley off to the side, and the show over Commencement Bay, it stayed quiet. Big shout out to Arielle and Donna who helped me find the best placement (facing Commerce and below the roof line of the convention center) and settled my nerves multiple times leading up to my stay. My child was peaceful and happy and I was thrilled. The Link was barely audible, and traffic was a low city noise hum. This was a great choice with excellent service that goes above and beyond.

I stayed here for several days earlier this year. Absolutely everything was top notch. Room and bathroom were very clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and it's everything a Courtyard ought to be and more. This is the hotel to stay at when visiting the Seattle-Tacoma area.

Good location and clean rooms

I was only here for a 3 day training. I live within commute distance, so I did not stay overnight. We used the conference room on level 6 and the parking garage. The conference room was spacious. Water was provided, as well as notepads and pens. The view from up there were wonderful. The parking garage was nice and guarded. I'm interested in booking a room to do a few overnights and see the city more in depth. There is a restaurant on level 1. However, UW Tacoma is also right next door. Several eateries and the more popular museums are all in walking distance.

When work takes me to the Spokane area I love the Davenport hotels for the comfy beds. These were better! Our group had 2 rooms. Both clean and comfortable. Beds were incredibly soft! I wish my work travels landed me in Tacoma more often. I'd stay here every time! The staff was great. There was a small hiccup on the room charge due to the confusion over self park vs valet but the front desk was so quick and polite to fix it. Accidents happen, no big deal.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was a great one. Did not explore a lot of it as only used it to sleep in and explored outdoors during the day but the front desk was very nice and helpful (they gave us some toothbrushes and scissors to use when asked), there was a water refilling station at the first floor, the beds were very comfy, and the rooms were a good size. Just note that the fridge we had in the room was quite small so maybe don't bring leftovers to the hotel.

Marriot offers an annual free night as part of their rewards program. I booked this night for my wife and the front desk refused to let her check in. They claim their policy prevents spouses from checking in without the other present. I called customer service and spent 15 minutes on hold just to be told they were going to have to charge me for a night stay. We canceled the reservation and found another hotel. I will likely be canceling my credit card and leaving Marriot after many years of patronage.

Check in was wonderful. Loved their avocado toast for breakfast. View was phenomenal!
