Probably the worst burger I have ever had 8 years in DC. I ordered it medium and after a couple bites it was clear it was past well done and really chewy. Their fries were bland and pretty thick so I don’t get why they described it as skinny. The staff member in the food pickup window was frequently absent, so I saw food sit there for a while at times before he’d buzz people to notify them their order was ready. Considering that a gratuity is already included (which the staff should tell you when you go to pay but they don’t) and you serve yourself from start to finish, the least they can do is make sure your food comes out correct and hot. When I went back up to pick up with my mostly untouched food told them that the burger was terrible and made incorrectly all he said was “oh, sorry about that” with no offer to remake it or make up for it in any way, so I just threw it away and left. If you’re hungry and in the area, walk to Union Market, it’s not that far and you’ll have quite a few places that actually make good food to pick from. Left hungry, disappointed, and $25 poorer. I am never coming back here.

Great spot casual spot, and Ayana is the best bartender!

Excellent beers, huge space, mediocre food, terrible bartenders. Every beer in my flight from the light (Keller) to the dark (Stout) was excellent for its style. The space has massive picnic tables for groups. The "smash" burger I had was mediocre with "fried" onions that were nearly raw and certainly not caramelized. The bartender was extremely apathetic and it wasn't even busy. They tack on an automatic "service charge" even though it's entirely self-service (order at the bar, pick food up at the counter). Go here to try their beers or for a big group but don't expect to get anything else out of the experience.
