Red Bear Brewing Co

My husband and I visited Red Bear Brewing Co. for a puzzle event, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from start to finish. The bar staff came across as rude and lacked basic customer service skills, which immediately set a negative tone. We were also surprised to learn that the only side available with meals is French fries. I attempted to order a Caesar salad that was listed on the menu under the sandwich options, only to be told it could only be ordered if I also purchased a sandwich. That policy wasn’t clear on the menu and was frustrating. To make matters worse, my husband’s food was brought out incorrectly. One of the reasons we chose Red Bear Brewing Co. was because it advertises having board games available for guests. However, when we asked about them, we were told they had been put away because an event was taking place. That left us wondering about customers who came to enjoy the brewery but weren’t participating in the event. It seems like amenities that are advertised should still be available whenever possible. Overall, the experience felt unwelcoming and disorganized. There is a lot of room for improvement in customer service, menu transparency, and ensuring that all guests, not just those attending special events, have a positive experience.

Stopped at Red Bear after a visit to REI. The guy taking my order was not very friendly. And after paying and including a tip, I realized it was a bit pricey for a beer and a burger. When I inquired, the less than friendly server informed me that a gratuity was already included and that it said so on the menu. I mentioned that it was not on the electronic menu board above the taps, which is what I ordered from. His reply was essentially just a grunt and nothing more. So in addition to the less than friendly service, I had to retrieve my order, get my utensils, ask for napkins and condiments that weren’t at the pickup counter, and ask for water. So not sure what the 20% plus my generous tip got me when I did the bulk of the work serving myself.

I enjoyed my sour and my food. The one thing that irritated me was how the manager talked to customers. I overheard him scolding customers over bringing homemade birthday treats. As someone who worked at restaurants without dessert options, this was a common and acceptable occurrence, however, the manager was incredibly rude and confrontational about the situation. It genuinely made me uncomfortable. I feel like this situation could have been handled better and kinder.

Employee verbally retaliated against a customer because of a Google review. Kitchen food was great, but that experience was distasteful. 1 star service.

Celebrating a birthday and they got angry about the cake pops. This was the manager's fault, and then he got angry about me explaining why I gave this review and walked over to our table to be extremely rude about it a second time. Don't go. Will update frequently.

We came on a Monday night with our kids and were turned away because “18+ when events are happening.” It was trivia night… Pretty silly if you ask me. Instead, we walked two blocks down to The Carving Room and spent $100 there on a great meal and great drinks!!! Highly recommend the Carving Room!

Over priced. Extra charges. If you want to wait forever for INCREDIBLY overpriced beer, here is your spot. Slow service, way too expensive for what you get. Be prepared to break the bank. They charge you a 20% service charge (before asking for a tip) just to literally fill a beer from the tap. Do not recommend at all.

Truly one of the best breweries in the city. All star staff, food, brews, and everything in between. One of the few places I’ll go out of my way for and brave the metro for!! Highly recommend to visitors and locals alike

We enjoying visiting local breweries when we travel. This was a nice facility with average beer.
