There is no Serenity there. The bed looks nice. The linens did not look fresh. When I walked in and walked down the hall a very strong smell of toilet bowl cleaner permeated the entrance. Then I opened the door to my room and it had the same odor. The room was very, very cold. I was tired from my long trip and couldn't even remove my clothes. Covering myself under the blanket was futile. It was an unrelentingly cold, cold room, plus my throat began to hurt from the smell of toilet bowl cleaner. It smelled like it seemed to be masking some other odor of, I was not sure what. I went in to the shared kitchen and opened to see where I would be storing my food. It smelled HORRIBLE and looked equally as nasty. I could not last there longer than an hour. My sinuses began to get runny and my throat was sore from the persistent chemical smell of toilet bowl cleaner. I called and texted the host who only speaks Spanish in her voice mail greeting and does "not do phone calls", she said in a text. She texts only in Spanish although I was glad to text in Spanish, but while at first she seemed somewhat friendly, she was not a responsive, attentive host and when I complained about the odor, the cold and a front door lock that did not seem secure, she said that I was lying about everything. I used to be an Airbnb host with 5 star reviews and that is one bad way of extending customer service to clients trusting you with their health, security and safety. I called Priceline to complain and ask for a refund. They said it was up to the host to extend the refund. She wrote several messages rebuttaling what I had experienced as a means to protect herself. I felt uncared for and ghosted. Do yourself a favor. Stay far away from Serenity Room. You will lose whatever little Serenity you have when you walk in and your cash and Pricelineis NO Airbnb. Below is a photo of the horribly smelly refrigerator that they share with others. It smelled like rotting food, it smelled very bad and looks unhygienic. I am still trying to get my refund. Save your health and money. Don't go there. It is a stinky, cold place to stay, in the winter and probably smells worse in the summer. Sorry, but I had to share my truth. Sure the bed looks nice, but the window shades are dingy in person, its freezing in there and the smell of toilet bowl cleaner was hard to get used to and made me get a sinus headache and I felt light headed, nauseous and very cold. I was about to go to urgent care because I began wheezing. This place should not be in a reputable hotels listing on Priceline or any other platform. The ad photos and the description are a gross misrepresentation of what I discovered. Priceline needs to send people out to investigate and rate it out of their platform and take their customers seriously when they complain. One star alone is still too much. I was very grossed out by it.

Quiet, clean, and welcoming place; you feel right at home. The accommodation is close to the airport for those who need it. I traveled locally for work and I highly recommend it.

I was moved to a different location two blocks away at the last minute apparently they have problems managing their booking platform, I didn’t mind at all but that’s something that shouldn’t be done let me elaborate Chances are high if you book this because you’re during a long layover at JFK and don’t want to pay the full price for an airport hotel in my case was cheaper renting a car and drive there (15min) than pay an airport hotel, having said that I only had a few hours there like 8 or so I can’t rate this location but the other locations seemed to be newly renovated and modern, even better conditions I’ve booked a double bed and she gave me a queen size, shared bathroom (1 for 4-5 rooms), fast wifi What’s Ned to be improved: Check in: She literally gave me the instructions at the door, and I had to pay for my phone roaming Wifi: I had to ask Booking system: I don’t mind being swapped rooms but it is not correct and totally against Booking.com policy, you should never agree to swap since you won’t be covered

Booked a room. After paying and confirming my booking, the on-duty manager texted me and said there was a problem on the Booking.com platform and the property was fully booked. She told me that I had to cancel and could get a refund, but no refund has been made. Won’t try/trust it again

I arrived early in Washington and asked if I could store my backpack and laptop in a corner of the kitchen, but they said no. They told me to come three blocks away to store my luggage and demanded $20 in cash (it seemed like the owner lived there). When I mentioned getting to the airport tomorrow, it seemed like her husband was a taxi driver. He said he would take me to the airport at 6:30 (saying it would cost $45 and take about 20 minutes), but the next day, I didn't get a reply even when I contacted the taxi driver via the Watcher app. I was really disappointed. I really hate people who don't understand the importance of keeping promises. (If this had been a homestay, I wouldn't have booked this place.)
