Hampton Inn & Suites Yonkers

Rooms are not bad pretty good actually. Staff is terrible especially the front desk staff. They have been rude, had an attitude, won’t answer simple questions, asked for service to clean my room multiple times never sent someone.

Worst Hampton Stay location I've experienced. The room was 74-75° and I was unable to sleep the 1st night. I made a request the next morning and the front desk assured me they'd look into it. I returned to the room that evening and someone was in the room while I was gone but no repair made (nor room service so I'm assuming it was the technician). When I responded via text to the concern, I received zero response. Images show time stamps. This is not an inconvenience as they worded it in their initial response. It is unacceptable to spend $200/night and not get much needed rest. I have instructed my employees to avoid this location for all future stays. On top of the A/C not working, there was hair (not mine) in the shower and washcloths provided. Housekeeping is lacking here and it makes one question what other shortcuts are being taken; linens, toilets, etc.?? And the breakfast service was out of cream cheese and syrup both mornings I was there while only having light roast as their coffee choice. By far this has been the worst Hampton Inn experience out of the several dozen locations that are typically decent.

Comfortable accommodations, convenient location and excellent service from the staff

So being that they are on Corporate drive, u believe they feel they have the right to cater to a certain "type" of "corporate" individual. Most of them seem to fly big planes. Simply replacing my room key because I decided to extend my stay turned in to a jigsaw puzzle. I was asked, is someone else in the room? And when are you leaving, and whatever else the prideful young man with his hair to the side felt like asking. Basically unless your white or a pilot, I suggest you go to the same hotel, less than 2 miles away, with an actual pool and a bit more colorful scenary. Never judge a book by its tattoos. I soon will have more money than the pilots that fly those spirit planes.

Checked in Tania was super helpful friendly and warm. The hotel was inviting and beautiful . I ordered a drink with Awilda she was the best and made me feel super comfortable and made me the best cocktails I’ve ever had in my life. 10/10 experience!

First time at this hotel. Was greeted at check-in with a smile by Mr. Brian Martin. Made me and my wife feel at home. Went out of his way to make me feel appreciated as a diamond member. Gave me a great room with a great view. Will definitely be back in the future.

Not coffee and water for tea were never available outside of breakfast hours. Coffee was always cold and/or there was no water in the carafe. I was automatically charged $15 for parking without ever being asked if I had a car and it was only resolved when I had to go to the front desk to handle my 2nd night's booking. They refunded me once I brought it to their attention but that was so weird. The phone had no paper overlay to identify the number to dial or the button to press to call specific departments. I did report this to the front desk upon checkout. Pool was closed for repairs.

I had a mixed experience at Hampton Inn & Suites Yonkers. On the positive side, the room and bathroom were a good size, the gym was nice, and I appreciated that breakfast was included. However, there were several issues that made the stay frustrating. The bathroom sink was clogged, and there was a large black stain on the comforter. When I requested a replacement, I was mistakenly given a fitted sheet instead. The room was also missing a TV remote—I had to call three times and wait nearly an hour, only to eventually pick it up myself at the front desk, where it had been sitting the whole time. After all that, the remote was broken. I also had trouble connecting my Firestick to the internet. After spending an hour on the phone using the in-room “internet” button, I was told the hotel no longer used that provider and would need to contact the front desk for updated information, which wasn’t readily provided. I gave up at that point. Additionally, I reserved a room with two queen beds but was given a king room instead, with the explanation that it was the only room available. Overall, while the property has some good features, the lack of organization, communication, and attention to basic room readiness made the stay disappointing.

Update to a year later - no one ever contacted me or even replied to my post. I have lost all faith in humanity. People like this don’t deserve to own anything. Losing your hard earned money is horrible . I hope your business shuts down. God don’t like ugly and we all pay for our sins. Beware - these people are stealing . My wife and I were driving through NY. And needed some rest . If anything is left behind the staff should have some integrity but this is not what you will get here. I am down 4K thanks Cleaning staff you guys are awesome 😒. I have always stayed in this place and it must be under new management. Because I couldn’t get anyone from management to even bother to get on the phone but they have the audacity to get mad at me because I made a police report. I wouldn’t Recommend this place to anyone .

Great hotel and location. Walking distance to the train station to NYC and beautiful Untermyer Gardens in Yonkers. I gave it 4 stars because the walls are thin and a family with kids in the room next door kept me up at night.
