Athens Pride 2027 continues the tradition of Greece's largest LGBTQ+ annual event — the march and festival at Syntagma Square that draws over 150,000 people each June. Now established as one of the major Pride events in southeastern Europe, Athens Pride combines a significant political march through the centre of the Greek capital with a festival programme of concerts, community events, and nightlife. The event takes on additional meaning in the years following Greece's 2024 marriage equality legislation, as the community celebrates and consolidates the rights it has won. Syntagma Square, facing the Greek Parliament, remains the symbolic heart of the event. Accommodation in central Athens should be booked well in advance for Pride weekend.
