Kalahari Sands GuestLodge is a small guest lodge on Tlokweng Road in Gaborone, on the way out of the city towards the Tlokweng border post. It is an ordinary mainstream guesthouse listed as gay-friendly. It is not a gay hotel, despite what older listings said. Google reviewers give it 3.0 from only nine reviews, and there's no website, so call ahead to confirm the booking and what's included. Botswana's courts decriminalised same-sex relations in 2019, but public discretion is still normal. Gaborone has no gay bars, and LGBTQ+ social life runs mostly through private events and groups such as LEGABIBO.
