Public displays of affection are dangerous. • Verify the venue's current status with local contacts before going — situations change fast. • Apps like Grindr are heavily monitored by police entrapment operations. • Register with your embassy on arrival. • Save the contact details of a local LGBTQ+ rights organisation (e.g. LGBT+ Rights Ghana, though they operate underground).
