Best guesthouse in the area! Beautifully maintained property with a serene atmosphere. I loved waking up to the birds and enjoying my coffee on the patio. The manager is professional, approachable, and genuinely cares about his guests’ comfort. Highly recommend staying here you won’t regret it!

Our stay at 6 on Protea was absolutely superb. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home in this accommodation, which was the undisputed highlight of our Knysna trip. The accommodation is in a fantastic location offering the most breathtaking, postcard-perfect views of the Knysna Lagoon . It’s incredibly peaceful, yet perfectly situated just a short stroll from the Waterfront. ​The Exceptional Breakfast: A massive highlight of our stay was the fantastic, freshly cooked breakfast served on the terrace. The quality was excellent, and starting our day with such high-quality food while looking out over the lagoon was simply unforgettable. The Manager Mr Mohammed incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing us with personalized, five-star service throughout our stay. Their great recommendations for Knysna were invaluable and truly helped us make the most of our time there. ​The room was great, spacious, impeccably clean, and offered all the necessary amenities for a supremely comfortable stay. ​This is more than just accommodation; it's a peaceful sanctuary with outstanding hospitality. I highly recommend 6 on Protea and cannot wait to return!

Beautiful views, elegant decor and amazing staff

Bathrooms need attention, too few blankets on the bed for winter , breakfast was burnt and eggs not done as requested , toast just never arrived , poor experience, no drinking water in the rooms , for a 4 star operation very poor show

The rooms are huge, almost like an apartment. Two double beds, a sofa, a bathroom, a small kitchen with a refrigerator, a table with chairs, and a terrace. Breakfast is included. It's not a luxury hostel, but everything is very good. Great view of the sea.

Fantastic accommodation in a superb location with a beautiful view! The owner was very friendly and gave us great recommendations for Knysna. Breakfast on the terrace was also excellent. We felt completely at home and would highly recommend this accommodation! :)

Our stay at 6 on Protea was exceptional. The high end accommodation, the breathtaking views and the exceptional service provided by the staff (Specifically the Host/ Manager Zimran) made our stay in Knysna fantastic. I would highly recommend 6 on Protea

What beautiful accommodation. House is spacious, rooms are well serviced. Views are spectacular. Zimran & Anna are amazing - true gems. Hosts even went out of their way to organize board games for the families to play during our stay, & organizing a TV in the lounge to watch the Springbok game. You guys are fantastic, thank you & keep it up.
