The rooms are okay, but very worn and run-down. We booked a better room online than the one we received at check-in. According to the receptionist, the description in the hotel's booking system was incorrect. We were subsequently given the better room, but unfortunately, it doesn't look like the photos and is also very dated. Late check-out until 11:00 AM was no problem, according to reception, and was noted. At 9:30 AM, our room door opened without a knock and was then slammed shut again without a word. This shouldn't happen. The previous evening at 11:00 PM, there was a knock at the door, and a strange man asked if we had ordered anything! How did he get into the hotel, and why is there knocking on doors at night? The Wi-Fi also doesn't work. So, the hotel is okay for one night, but not for longer.
The rooms are a little dated and could use a refresh but are very well appointed for the price. The beds and pillows are comfortable, block out blinds are great and the room is spacious enough to happily work from. The standout has been the service. Every single staff member has greeted me with a warm welcome, a smile a nod of acknowledgement and nothing has been too much trouble. The service aligns with a top notch hotel, making my stay a real pleasure.
