על המקום הזה CANTON ISLE HOTEL
Canton Isle Hotel is listed at 231 Xingang West Road in Haizhu, the district south of the Pearl River in central Guangzhou, near Sun Yat-sen University. The listing calls it gay-friendly, but there is almost nothing to go on: two Google reviews, no website and a mobile number only.
Confirm the booking and whether foreign guests can register before arriving, since not every hotel in mainland China can take foreign passports. Have the address written in Chinese for taxi drivers.

Amazing experience. I stayed at their one-person room for 5 nights and had nothing to complain. Both the room and the location were extremely convenient. Made my trip to Guangzhou very pleasant.

Walking distance to metro station, room and service still acceptable, budget hotel.
