Ga'ash Beach

Ga'ash Beach is a stretch of sand below the sandstone cliffs about 10 km south of central Netanya, between Netanya and Herzliya. It isn't in Netanya itself; it falls under the Hof HaSharon Regional Council. It is the beach in the Sharon area most often named in gay travel guides: Travel Gay and misterb&b both list it as clothing-optional with a gay reputation, though plenty of clothed and straight beachgoers use it too. Nudity there is unofficial: Israel has no legally designated nude beach, and police or inspectors can ask people to cover up. There are no lifeguards or facilities, and the cliffs along this coast are unstable, so keep away from the cliff base. Public sex is illegal in Israel. For a busier, official gay beach, Hilton Beach in Tel Aviv is about 30 km south.
