I've been twice now and honestly it was worse the second time. I would just like to agree on the points already raised: - Feels very strange having young ladies working there - 30 euro price tag is a rip off because: - The refurbishment is a reach. New bar, and cabins is not enough. Luke warm water in the hot tub, Lockers are exactly the same as before, old and dirty. I didn't want to put my clothes in there. I won't return. I really wanted it to be better after all that time closed.
Can I expect an erotic massage?
After years of closure for renovations, my expectations were high. But the sauna looks exactly the same as before. You can tell there have been renovations, which is to the owner's credit, but don't expect too much. I visited the place on a Wednesday evening around 6 p.m. The guy at the reception was extremely friendly. My locker wasn't working, which wasn't a good start. There were only five people there, all over 60. The atmosphere was deathly quiet, with no music playing except at the bar. I was the only one at the bar. The owner was busy training a young man and ignored me. Serving customers (or generating revenue) was out of the question. After the training, I was finally served. The staff sat down at the bar and pulled out their smartphones. Chatting with customers was out of the question. It remained very quiet the entire evening, and the staff sat quietly. Meanwhile, there were wads of paper in the showers, the soap was gone, and used condoms were strewn about in the shower and hammam. No one bothered to clean up after themselves. Televisions were removed from the upper floors, destroying the playful atmosphere. In a small room with space for a maximum of three people, there was a television playing old '90s porn. In the labyrinth, you could hear a pin drop. The second sauna was out of order. A point of attention and a tip for the owner: Make sure you know what your customers want, create an atmosphere, a cozy atmosphere, and hygiene. Don't let the business fizzle out, because that's what it seems. It has everything it takes to become the cozy sauna it once was, but recover in time. Create atmosphere, music, attract a young clientele, provide friendly and pleasant service, make sure everything works, and that cleaning is done on time. With great respect: but make sure you have a nice guy at the bar. It might be wrong to say it, but it feels strange to be served by a (not very social) woman in a men's sauna.
From their website: "Finally….., We open our doors on Tuesday, November 11th, 1 p.m." After visiting the sauna, I have the following observations: After being closed for so long, a significant portion of which was for renovations, I expected more change, but the fact that it has largely remained the same is perhaps more of a positive; it was, and still is, the cleanest sauna in Belgium and its neighboring countries. An unpleasant surprise: at the checkout, I was confronted with a female cashier. That's not appropriate for a men's sauna. Quite a few visitors prefer to remain anonymous, and staff members who are "not family members" aren't ideal in that case. So, the sauna has largely remained the same, especially the positive elements of the past. An effort has been made to make it a bit more mysterious/exciting here and there, and they succeeded. The "Exciting Glory Holes" mentioned on the website are so glorious that they're impossible to find. In short, it's remained the same sauna, with a few upgrades and a few variations. So far, the sauna appears to be very busy, at least on Sundays. Highly recommended. PS: The entrance fee isn't listed on the website → €30. Update February 2026 New brooms sweep well, and that's – and wasn't – any different here. Now, I can see through the initial euphoria of the reopening, and I unfortunately have to conclude that it's not what it used to be. The female staff continues to bother me. In a straight club, you can easily put young women at the bar and the cash register, but gay people want something different. Apparently, they don't have the money for real music – despite the high entrance fee. Instead, a terribly commercial, nagging sound resounds, the kind you normally only hear in underground parking lots, to get you out as quickly as possible. Although visitor numbers are declining, one of the two dry saunas was overcrowded. The other one felt more like an igloo until it overheated again in the late hours. Unfortunately, I have to reduce the five stars to 2. Although the physical temperature is generally quite high (especially in places where it could be a bit cooler), the mental experience is exceptionally cold.
Unfortunately, the sauna is not wheelchair accessible. A plus is that there are free lubricants and conditioner (54 mm wide and 18 cm long) available, and my questions were answered quickly (via Instagram). 👍🏽
