Madrediosa

Madrediosa is a queer bar on Rue Belmont in the Beaux-Arts district, about ten minutes' walk north of the Écusson. Le Fooding and Privateaser both list it as a lesbian and queer bar, and Google files it under "Bar queer". It was opened during the Covid years by Audrey Simon and Sabrina L'Hermitte and is the nearest thing Montpellier has to a lesbian anchor, though the whole community drinks here. Its Instagram is the programme: DJ sets, drag nights, readings and the occasional flash-tattoo evening. Google lists it as open Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm, until midnight early in the week and 1am from Thursday. It rates 4.7 from about 420 reviews.
