Want a terrible welcome??? The best place in Paris. A bartender charges you €13.50 for a drink, even though it's not the same price you've paid before. Naturally, I ask why it's more expensive, without being disrespectful! The waiter replies, "It's the cloakroom." I'm feeling cold and just want to keep my light jacket on for the season, even though I'm only wearing a t-shirt underneath. I've always kept my jacket on in this place, but the waiter on duty decided he could be rude to me. I explained that I don't mind paying extra for the cloakroom as long as they let me keep my jacket on, as they have in the past. One day at a time. The waiter's incompetence is beyond words. Avoid this place; there are other spots in the area where you won't be treated so disrespectfully. It's rather sad, especially considering how hard Parisian bars are to attract customers. Aside from the situation, if the waiter had been polite, it would have been possible to hear what he was saying, and I believe that when someone loses interest in their job, it's best to quit. Disgusting!

The staff are very friendly and there's no entrance fee. It has a great atmosphere and you can have a snack downstairs 🥖🥖

turned up here on 10th Jann2026 so with post New Years lull, expected it to be quiet. friendly efficient barman. reasonable priced drinks (7 euro). upstairs bar was nice but a bit flat due to few people. downstairs was fun - but people seemed a bit shy and needed someone to get them out more their shells. haha. worth popping in esp as no entry charge

Before recounting my experience with this bar, it's important to point out that the management systematically downplays customer feedback and justifies problematic staff behavior, making any improvement impossible. In short, it was my first time at this bar three days ago to meet a friend, and instead of a modicum of courtesy, I was met with an aggressive, unfriendly young bartender. He asked me to leave immediately after I arrived, without any explanation about the rules of entry or the requirement to purchase drinks. This isn't organization; it's a complete lack of professionalism. One waiter with such an attitude is enough to ruin the reputation of this place. A very unpleasant experience; I strongly advise against going there.

Honestly, this place is really nice for people who like this kind of thing. When I come to Paris, I love this atmosphere, and you meet such friendly people! 10/10

I had a similar experience: no welcome, bad attitude from the bartender, the place was really dirty and depressing. The doorman was almost aggressive. Honestly, it's as if this place has some kind of status that justifies treating people like that!
