Hotel Le Sherpa

A very nice hotel located just steps from shops and with direct access to the ski slopes; it only takes a few minutes to be on a piste. Returning is also very easy as you arrive directly at the ski room. The food is excellent (kudos to the chef and his team), and the service is impeccable. This hotel has around sixty rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a cozy lounge, and a large terrace with mountain views. It also features a jacuzzi, sauna, and more. Our suite was spacious with a balcony overlooking the mountains and the ski area. We had an excellent stay and thank the staff for their kindness and professionalism.

Stayed at Hotel le Cher for a week for the first time. It exceeded our expectations. Fantastic staff, high service, and delicious dinner. Every evening a choice of high-quality five-course dinner in a cozy restaurant. Simple rooms, but clean and with good beds. The location is great for both skiing and going to the pubs.

Charming hotel with the best location in Val Thorens. Very friendly and caring staff who go the extra mile for their guests. Good and generous breakfast. The food is consistently well-prepared and tasty! Extra kudos to Charlotte who made every dinner a happy experience. Have stayed at Sherpa a dozen times and we will definitely be back.

The only "negative" point (and even then...) is that the rooms could use a little updating. The hotel's strengths are: - Its incredible cleanliness! - The kindness, attentiveness, and helpfulness of the staff. Special mention to Marie (at reception) and Maxime (the hotel manager, who is incredibly friendly and always available). - The quality of the food, which is excellent in the evening, and the breakfast, which is also very good. - The ski room, with its highly efficient drying equipment. - The bar area and its staff, who are very attentive to detail and always smiling. - Parking P0 is very close, and there's a very convenient luggage drop-off area in front of the hotel (large space). I didn't try the wellness area, so I can't comment on it. I recommend it for a relaxing stay, with easy access to the slopes and truly excellent staff... In short, great value for money.

Le Sherpa is a wonderful hotel that truly brings together all the best qualities. The location is perfect - right on the slope, with easy ski‑in and almost ski‑out access. It’s also just a short walk from the big parking area, as well as the restaurants and bars in Val Thorens. The rooms are cozy and very clean, with housekeeping available whenever it suits you. The whole hotel is spotless - I saw it being cleaned every single day. There’s also a car‑charging station on site, which is very convenient for guests with electric cars. Breakfast is served every morning and offers a great selection of everything you need for a good start of the day. Dinner is amazing: soup, a starter, a main dish, a cheese board, and a dessert buffet. There is also a great selection of wines to choose from, which makes the whole dinner experience even more enjoyable. I was honestly surprised to see a review saying the portions were too small - for us, it was the perfect amount to enjoy everything without feeling overwhelmed. My partner and I were full every evening, even without going heavy on the cheese or dessert. The staff is incredibly nice and friendly. Everyone speaks English, and they’re very approachable and helpful. We even had two croissants baked especially for us by a lovely lady for our very early 3 a.m. checkout (if you’re reading this - thank you again! ❤️). There’s also a cozy bar open during the day or for a relaxed après‑ski with a beautiful view. A sauna and jacuzzi are available daily - the perfect way to rest and recharge after a busy day on the slopes. All in all, I highly recommend Le Sherpa. It’s truly the best value for money you can find in Val Thorens.
