I went to Pimpernel yesterday after a long time, and it was absolutely worth it. The place has its own unique vibe—a bit cramped and wild, but that's exactly what makes it special. Thomas Herb was DJing and delivered some really great music; the atmosphere was fantastic, and it was easy to strike up a conversation with some relaxed people. The reception at the door, the cloakroom, and the bar were all friendly and professional. The burly bouncer at the front was especially great—he was friendly and had everything under control. For €8 entry until 6 a.m., you really get a lot. One minor downside: the restrooms were often occupied, so you sometimes had to wait. Overall, though, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I'll definitely be back.

The fat bouncer and the bulletproof one are unusually nice. Drinks are unfortunately very expensive, but the atmosphere is very nice.

Open late into the evening, great place! The staff, whether at the door, coat check, or bar, were all very professional and made our evening wonderful.

The security guard at the door was very disrespectful and refused me entry for no apparent reason, even though I had driven an hour specifically for this. Meanwhile, other guests were allowed in without any problems. The fact that I have black hair and not light eyes is nothing I need to justify – it's how I was born. I found this behavior discriminatory and unfair.

The bouncers were very unfriendly; they refused entry to someone right in front of me simply because he was alone. They told him he wasn't allowed in alone, or even with a woman. There were many groups of guys who got in that way, but for the bouncers, it always depends on how you look, so I can't recommend it.

I've never experienced such blatant racism. The bouncer made up some rules like 'women only' even though almost all the men were let in unaccompanied. Every blonde was allowed in without any problems, but suddenly it was no for black hair or foreign appearance. I've known the place for years and been there often, so it was more than clear that it wasn't about rules, but simply about who they wanted out.

The cloakroom attendant pressured us to buy tickets even though we only wanted to see what was going on inside, and he did so very disrespectfully. That's the only way to scare away and lose customers.
