We booked the hotel for one night while passing through. The room was large and tidy, but unfortunately still smelled of new furniture and carpet. It was very warm because the curtains weren't drawn; the sun made it unbearably hot. We were practically the only guests, which was excellent. Breakfast offered a bit of everything, but unfortunately, the fruit plate was already past its prime. Otherwise, everything was fine; there's nothing else in the immediate vicinity. I recommend a room on the left side of the main entrance, ideally at the very back.

We stayed at this hotel for the Rennsteig Run and felt completely at ease. They provided us with a packed lunch and coffee at 4 a.m. A big plus: there's a refrigerator with complimentary non-alcoholic drinks available for all guests at reception. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet is superb – very extensive and varied. Our room was clean and spacious. There are cardio machines in the fitness area and a Finnish sauna. We would definitely book this hotel again!
Honestly, it's magnificent.
The service at breakfast was excellent. Thank you to the young man. However, there are still a few points of criticism. Check-in is only until 2 pm at a 4-star hotel. The restaurant is only open on Saturdays. The bar is not open. All the amenities one would expect from a 4-star hotel were missing. Very disappointing.
