High end hotel with a great view as well as polite and helpful staff

We recently stayed at this beautiful luxury hotel as a couple and had a truly wonderful experience overall. The rooms were elegantly decorated, very comfortable, and fully equipped with all amenities. We especially appreciated the option of a pet-friendly room so we could stay with our little poodle, which made our trip even more special. The hotel facilities, common areas, and spa services were all excellent, and what really stood out was the staff: extremely polite, professional, and always willing to help and elevate the guest experience. The only point that could be improved is the hotel’s overall pet-friendly policy. While pets are welcomed in designated rooms, they are unfortunately not allowed in breakfast areas, restaurants, bars, or even some outdoor/semi-covered spaces. It feels a bit limiting for guests traveling with pets, especially in a hotel that otherwise promotes itself as pet-friendly. Still, we had a lovely stay and would happily recommend the hotel for its beautiful atmosphere, location, comfort, and exceptional service.

Amazing on so many levels

I stayed 2 nights in May in this hotel. I booked before reading other google reviews and then wondered if I had make a mistake. Fortunately I can say that I had a fantastic time there and am sorry but disagree with other reviews or rather think the negative points they raise are over emphasized in the review they give. There is no doubt that this is a 5 star hotel. Let’s take the basics. Super comfortable bed. Lots of different pillows. Quiet rooms. Great bathroom with super powerful hot water and top quality cosmetics. Super soft towels and bathrobes. Next up there is mini bar, capsule based coffee machine, kettle and teas. Also room service all day. The TV is a smart one and you can connect your Netflix or other streaming services. Curtains are black out and view amazing. Staff are super friendly from the welcome and check in which was first class to the waiters in the restaurant and bar areas. English is not a problem and many are bilingual. The hotel is in a unique position and as such is a different architectural design than most. The central block has all the central service’ the spa, the restaurants and bars and terraces. The rooms are in separate buildings and the whole is connected by corridors and lifts and passage ways that takes a half day to understand. Not all these passage ways are airtight and so the hotel being where it is insects do get in. For me this is just life. Personally I think it would have been better to have sealed corridors but clearly the architects thought different and maybe it is better that the air is natural mountain fresh air and not stale hotel corridor air we have all suffered. However there are consequences and on the bright afternoons some of the windows facing the sun have a fair few poor insects trying to get out. So I do understand some other comments that there are ants and flies both dead and alive even in the central block. But what do you expect from a semi open structure situated in a beautiful spot at the top of a mountain. I personally didn’t mind it all and think to keep this place clinically clean would be impossible or need 25 cleaners all day sweeping and hoovering. But I am pleased they don’t do that and allow us to exist in beautiful peace in the terrace with a couple of ants 🐜 moving around. One huge positive to me was the water. Yes the place has its own water source and uses tha water in the system and in the bottles of water at meal times. It’s fantastic water with a soft neutral taste. I am a fan of water and my favorite up to now is Evian water. But this hotel’s water is better . Something special about drinking water from the mountains around as you sit in a terrace mesmerizes by the views and the architecture. Yes the architecture and build quality of the place is impressive. So is the furniture of which there is lots scattered around bars and restaurants and terraces. A lot of money has been invested in’s quality place and you sense that as you sit there The restaurant does have relatively small menu as other reviews have mentioned but in a way again I beg to differ from their conclusions. I had 2 lunches and 2 dinners and not once got bored or struggled for choice. I guess if I were staying a week that may be different and I don’t know if when they are in high season a more extensive offering is made. May was clearly low season as they were only a handful of guests. Much has been written about the spa! I went there and no one else was there and booked a massage and a haircut. Being honest as I try to be the massage was not that good and I was a bit disappointed. Very nice oils and smelly sprays were used which was nice but the quality of the massage was not nearly as good as other massages I have had in Turkey and Greece on this trip. As a motorbike on long trips I need regular massage on my shoulders. The haircut by contrast was excellent but the rather odd thing about that is the room for the hairdresser is like a little side room with no windows, almost like a large storage room. Weird that.

Wonderful hotel in a magical location

We recently visited your place on May Day! Everything was great from the kind gentleman to the receptionist! Even the young man who lit the fireplace for us and the girl at the reception! Unfortunately we were alone in the evening and we couldn't enjoy it as much as we wanted but the view and the SNOW compensated us!!!!! Everything was spotlessly clean and excellent, I gave the service a 4 for two things! The first is that there is no good soundproofing because the person next door knocked on our door saying we were making a noise when we were just talking and second: we ordered 2 drinks from the bar and the mocktail I asked for had nothing to do with what a mocktail is, it had a dried orange and just a 0% gin without anything special in taste. I think that with such a beautiful place and amazing view and facilities, you should have one or two experienced bartenders and preferably one who knows what a mocktail is, in addition, the breakfast was very nice but I think it needs more options since it really is a beautiful place, always with love the review! You will definitely see us again!

Exceptional location in a very tranquil forest setting overlooking the snow capped Pindus mountains and Metsovo All staff without exception, we’re welcoming and attentive through throughout Our tranquil suite with timber floors, balcony with stunning views and many special touches was very much to our liking Extensive Breakfast offering we also enjoyed dinner on our first night Highly recommended if visiting the area

Perfect experience

Beautiful location, very clean and beautiful rooms. Nice spa area and very good food.
