The best hotel of our trip 😍😍😍 Everything is well-maintained and beautiful

A beautiful hotel, we would come back. A good base; we stayed for three nights.

We had a really wonderful time at the Apartment Hotel Hjalteyri! Even though the weather wasn’t quite on our side, we were able to enjoy the accommodation even more. The hotel offers a beautiful, wide-ranging view. The breakfast was delicious, and the sauna was a real bonus – especially with the weather being what it was, it was very relaxing! The owner was very welcoming and even gave us an upgrade to a larger room with a kitchen – which was super convenient and made our stay even more comfortable. Overall, the hotel has a calm, cozy atmosphere. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and you can tell a lot of thought and love for detail went into the design. We would definitely come back!

Of all the places we stayed on our trip around the country, this place was the absolute best! So clean and comfortable, we wished we had booked for longer!

Perfectly nice staff and polite owner with great artistic eye. Books and paintings are everywhere. And also there is a huge collection of old cars! Hot tub is included. Trying to look for vegan brakfast would be really difficult here, but dairy I think here are all bio. Nice selection of teas. I should say there it is really a hidden diamond, because you can's see any signs from main road and even infronof the hotel! The owner just wanted a nice big place to make filled with his beautiful collection I think😂 Hot tub included.

A very clean, tidy, and quiet hotel located a 20-minute drive from Akureyri. If you're looking for a secluded and peaceful place to relax, I recommend this hotel, but it's best to bring all your own necessities as the area itself has limited services. The hotel owner seems to have an interest in art; there are beautiful paintings everywhere and classic cars outside.

Good hotel. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. We were able to do a load of laundry for free: excellent! Decent breakfast 😊 We spent one night in one of the suites. The view is superb, the rooms are comfortable, and there are sufficient facilities for ironing and/or cooking. However, the two missing stars are due to the following reasons: - Lots of flies (we had to kill more than twenty) - Transparent front door (difficult to have complete privacy when guests are visiting the hotel, especially to access the spa) - When we went to the bathroom/toilet, there was toilet paper and the towels were stained.

Top in every way: cleanliness, service, hospitality, delicious food, attention to detail. A 10 out of 10.
