Hotel Excelsior Bari

A great location for sightseeing and traveling (near the train and bus stations; 20 minutes to the Old Town). Quite a distance to the beach. Breakfasts are tasty, but monotonous—the same every day... the view from the windows—poor...

This hotel is located in the center of Bari, right next to Bari Centrale train station. So, if you're traveling by train, it's ideal. If you're driving, you'll also find free parking on the street (white lines near the hotel) or a €15 per night in the garage. The rooms are showing their age, but the excellent service, delicious breakfasts, and exceptional restaurant make for a truly enjoyable stay. A 10-minute walk takes you to the center of Bari. The hotel's original bar allows you to sit outside with a drink or coffee, a welcome addition. The only drawback is the view from the room window. But that's not why we came to Bari. We recommend it.
