LGL - Lithuanian LGBT* Center

LGL — the Lithuanian Gay League — is the country's national LGBTQ+ rights organisation, founded on 3 December 1993, and its Vilnius office doubles as the only dedicated LGBT* community centre in Lithuania. You will find it at Odminiu street 11-4, a few steps from Cathedral Square in the very heart of the Old Town. The centre runs a community library, offers a drop-in space with coffee and tea, and hosts a rolling programme of workshops, film screenings, discussion groups and volunteer projects. It is the organisational engine behind Vilnius Pride and Lithuania's editions of Baltic Pride, as well as the annual Rainbow Days awareness festival each spring. For travellers, LGL is the single best first point of contact in the country: staff and volunteers speak English, know the current state of the scene, and can point you to whatever is happening that week — from queer film nights to community sports groups. Opening hours follow a standard office week, so drop by on a weekday or check lgl.lt and their social channels before visiting. The organisation also does the heavy lifting on advocacy — monitoring hate speech, supporting strategic litigation and lobbying for civil union recognition — so a visit or a donation directly supports the people keeping the Lithuanian scene alive.
