The view is great. I forgot my charging cable and called. They told me to pick it up. That's difficult since I don't live in Zurich. Shipping costs CHF 15 (more than buying a new one). Okay, I said, by invoice/prepayment. But they said it was only possible by credit card, which wasn't an option. I find this kind of service simply unacceptable. In some details, it's just not good, for example, the coffee overflows despite using the correct cup, there was a small hole in the sofa, etc. It wouldn't have bothered me if it weren't for the charging cable issue, but I didn't feel very friendly, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel. Of course, it costs money, and I would have paid the shipping costs as well.

A closer look reveals that the infrastructure and offerings on Zurich's local mountain are well-designed and absolutely stand up to scrutiny. 1. The Historical Foundation & Atmosphere The historical development of the site can be precisely traced over centuries: from the construction of the strategic watchtower in 1644, through the first inn in 1815, to the gradual development for tourism with the Uetliberg Railway. The evolution from a purely military observation post to today's car-free 4-star resort is architecturally and conceptually seamless. The location offers absolute tranquility, while the facility functions with reliable, modern infrastructure. 2. The Culinary Performance The dishes we ordered impressed us with their quality and craftsmanship. The lamb's lettuce salad with Italian dressing proved to be a fresh and perfectly balanced start to the meal. The main course, a beef fillet, impressed with its high-quality meat and precise preparation. The meal concluded with a classic lemon sorbet and a robust double espresso – a flawlessly executed combination that perfectly rounded off the menu. The consistently high quality justifies the price in this prime location. 3. Logistics, Route & Climatic Conditions: The Planet Trail to Felsenegg The nearly 6-kilometer-long hiking trail from Uto Kulm to Felsenegg is captivating in its clear structure. The solar system model, built to an exact scale of 1:1 billion, is logically organized and fascinatingly presented. The trail is excellently maintained and can be efficiently completed in about 1.5 to 2 hours. Important caveat: The trail reaches its limits in high temperatures (in this case, 30°C). The almost complete lack of shade-providing tree-lined avenues means that one is exposed to direct sunlight unprotected for several stages. This thermal stress is clearly noticeable physically. 4. Transportation Access The logistical chain of this excursion is flawlessly completed. After the smooth connection to the Adliswil-Felsenegg cable car, the subsequent descent on the SZU (Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Railway) is a complete success. The current access and direct return to the city, all the way to Selnau station, is particularly excellent and demonstrates a highly efficient and well-connected transportation system. Conclusion: The combination of the rich historical heritage, the precisely executed cuisine, and the systematic transportation access offers a perfectly harmonious overall experience. With the knowledge of the lack of shade on the Planet Trail and appropriate preparation on hot days, this excursion is highly recommended.

Absolutely not recommended. Poor service and unfriendly staff!

Location was amazing. Hotel was nice. The women at the front desk working at night 9pm this past Saturday is very rude for no reason. Nothing like hiking up a mountain (it was worth it for the views) but getting treated poorly as soon as you arrive being hot and tired. Rude checking in. Went to our room after and it was extremely hot (as expected knowing there is no air conditioning). I saw a ceiling fan and didn’t know how to turn it on so I simply went to the front desk to ask how to turn it on. Didn’t complain about it or anything and her only response was “I’ve been working here for 3 years and never had to turn it on” then stared at me. I just figured I’d ask since it was there. After continuing to be rude she offered to bring a plug in fan which i gladly accepted. When she brought it up she continued rude attitude as it I was bothering her. Worth the view but if you have trouble walking I don’t recommend and if you to be treated right don’t stay here.

Lost an entire hour because they never brought the luggage down to train. Had to rebook another train & then missed excursion we had in Lucerne. They gave us money for a new train ride but only cash telling us we can pay for new bus in machines near trains… we get there & they don’t even accept cash there… Wasted so much money & time.

Stunning Don’t be put off the the walk from the station to the hotel it can be a little steep but it is worth it, the views are stunning, the rooms are lovely and super comfortable, the tower to view is only 2chf each - very affordable and amazing, staff super friendly wish we were staying longer but a great last night to our trip will recommend

The best view in Zürich paired with outstanding food and service. Highly recommended for a day trip. Easily accessible thanks to the nearby Üetliberg train station. Specular view from the panoramic terrace. The fine dining menu includes meat and vegetarian options, as well as an extensive wine cellar of over 12000 bottles.

The room was nice, but it was very, very noisy. The whirlpool bath next door was also very audible at night.
