Old Market Tavern

I was sitting quietly having a catch-up with a friend, enjoying our drinks and causing no trouble. After my friend left, I waited about 10 minutes for my lift. During this time, the owner approached me aggressively and kicked me out, claiming I wasn't buying anything—despite the fact that I’d been buying drinks for the previous hour. Just because I’m a slow drinker and not a binge drinker, I was treated like a loiterer. It was a horrible experience that left me shaken. I won't be returning.

Great atmosphere, amazing staff and superb service!

Don’t like to leave a bad review at all, hopefully it was just a bad night for the bloke, me and a couple of mates were thinking about sitting down and standing in the aisle to grab some more chairs as some were missing for the tables. A server came through and impolitely said ‘don’t stand in the walkway’ and pushed through us. Don’t worry we didn’t! Or don’t get a drink either, however have been in before and it’s actually a really nice place with a nice vibe and generally a nice staff, hoping it was just an off night and posting this review because it wasn’t a great experience rather than an overall review of the pub! Love the pub! Long may it live! Service review is only for this outing!
