Lovely old pub, with great food, huge garden, dogs welcome

Stopped by on my way to West Sussex after nearly 20 years and I wasn’t disappointed. A really beautiful spot with picture postcard pub. The local lager was nice and food tasted and looked excellent. Bonus the sun was out. I didn’t stay in the accommodation.

We stopped here for a late lunch last Sunday. Superb service, lovely food (had a roast dinner) and good value for money.

Food very tasty as always but quite pricey. Service was not good at lunchtime today so very disappointed .

Oh ma gawd what a fantastic olde worlde pub the best thing about it is it's in a very small village & thank god I took a wrong turn & found this on my way back home! You've got to go to this pub food great staff friendly also nobody stop talking when I walked in. Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely outstanding lunch. Food was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. The beer was exceptional and the service was first class.

Very disappointing today. Ordered pork loin roast with pulled pork. No pulled pork, 2 slices of fat not loin, asked for assistance, plate was taken away, brought back the same and now cold, told the pork was coming. Tiny amount of veg on all of our plates. Sat at the table for 40 minutes waiting for food before served. One person overcharged by £5. We just paid it all and left. Was just told ‘sorry’ no real effort to rectify. Shame as food before was ok. Rip off for what was served today.

Best pub, food, accommodation and service in the area by a country mile

Another lovely meal at Blackboys Inn pub. Never had a bad one. I had the steak and ale pie which was delicious. Would definitely go back.

We had lunch here today. Excellent in all aspects. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Food was great - nicely presented, very tasty and portions were just right. A lovely old pub. Thank you.
