Travelodge London Richmond Central

Great value stay in London. The location was really convenient, with easy access to transport and attractions. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Simple, but perfect for a short trip. I’d happily stay again.

We came for 5 nights and were very happy of our stay. The hotel is well placed, at a few minutes from the Richmond station which was really appreciated. The only thing that would have been better is a little fridge in the room. Also, we only found one towel knowing we were 2 but it didn't affect our stay as we had brought one just in case.

I have spent two nights at Richmond Travelodge, my first experience in a Travelodge, and it was not a positive one. The atmosphere was cold, aseptic and indifferent, entirely devoid of any color or character or liveliness, a drab and lifeless environment throughout. The room was claustrophobic and equally bereft of any character, the widows always locked, quite oppressive and even somewhat disturbing in its complete lack of distinctive features. It seems no attempt or thought went into trying to make it welcoming and warm. Apart from the annoying noise from the heating system it was relatively quite though. Staff were ok and tried to help, but it would have taken much more to compensate for the coldness pervading every aspect of the environment. Not recommended if an alternative can be found for a similar price.

Could not get any mobile reception in the room I was in. Very frustrating!

Very basic Travelodge but, for the money it's ideal, and I'm assuming you chose it for the area as we did then perfectly adequate. Breakfast is beyond simple for the price.

I booked a room for one night for a good Richmond price and on receiving the confirmation I noticed that that the automated system had changed the dates to a week later. I called to point this out and was told to make new booking which I did but was charged double the price as well as for “changing “ the booking. I received an email about my complaint and which was clearly automated. I have sent two more emails but have not had a reply to either. If not for this bad experience I would have stayed several and recommended the Travel Lodge to many people.

Excellent location. Staff nowhere to be seen. Bathroom dirty, shower gel dispenser not working but no-one to tell!

Does what it says very well

We stayed for 8 nights at the Travelodge in central Richmond and had a very pleasant stay overall. The location is excellent – right in the heart of Richmond and just a short walk from Richmond Station. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafés nearby, making it very convenient for everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable, although on the smaller side, which is typical for Travelodge. The bed was good and we slept well most nights. All the staff members we encountered were friendly, polite, and genuinely helpful. Special mention goes to Zeeshan, who was incredibly caring and helpful. After our first night, we found the air conditioning a bit noisy, so we requested a room change. Zeeshan handled everything smoothly and quickly arranged a new room for us, which made a big difference to the rest of our stay. Overall, great value, convenient location, and friendly service. We would happily stay here again.

Have stayed at the Selwyn, Richmond Hill and The Petersham which are all very nice but this was less than half the price, very clean and in a great location. For how long we needed the room for, sleeping, it was ideal. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again

Good location. Basic, clean room. Having to pay for WiFi after the free 30 minutes your allowed leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
