Sambarylove, on Rua Santa Teresa near Praça da Sé in São Paulo's Centro, throws parties centered around black music, ragga, and samba.
It's not a gay club, despite being gay-friendly.
The crowd is a mix of locals, not the typical circuit or pop fans you'd find at the city's gay clubs.
You won't find set hours for Sambarylove, so check their social media before heading out - small clubs in the Centro tend to change their schedules frequently.
The area around Sé is a different story by day and night: it's busy during the day, but empties out late.
Take a ride-hailing car to and from the door.
For São Paulo's main gay nightlife, you'll want to look elsewhere: Rua Frei Caneca, Rua Augusta, and the Largo do Arouche are the places to go.
