Menstetic Sauna & Spa is Asuncion's - and effectively Paraguay's - only dedicated gay bathhouse, a men-only space in the downtown La Encarnacion area on Calle 14 de Mayo. Listed in international gay sauna guides including Spartacus, it draws a mostly local crowd looking for a relaxed, discreet place to unwind. Facilities include a video bar, an air-conditioned video lounge, a jacuzzi and a small boutique across a compact multi-level layout. Hours run late on Fridays, with shorter afternoon-to-evening sessions the rest of the week. As the country's sole gay sauna it works as a low-key social hub - many Paraguayans otherwise cross into Brazil or Argentina for a bigger scene, so discretion is the norm here.
