Reuben's Deli and Steakhouse

An interesting place if you want to try Montreal’s famous smoked meat. The place has a very old-school, old-fashioned atmosphere, and the waiters are quite characterful and entertaining. The service was decent — nothing spectacular, but perfectly fine. As for the smoked meat itself, I’d say it’s definitely an acquired taste. It was good and worth trying, but probably a one-time experience for me. It actually reminded me of the sandwiches my mom used to make for me to take to school.

It's a great restaurant to try local cuisine. The service is incredibly friendly and efficient. Like most restaurants, they offer complimentary water to diners. The food is excellent—very well prepared, beautifully presented, and truly delicious. The portions are quite generous, so if you're not very hungry, sharing a dish between two people is a good option. The price isn't the cheapest, but it's still reasonable.

Hummmm.... My son ordered medium rare steak. It came medium so we told it's overcooked. but the server insisted it's medium rare...hummm. and very minimum service.

Excellent food an service all around for quick lunch bite. The sirloin was surprisingly well done.

We were visiting Montreal and I couldn't leave without eating at this iconic spot. We'd been recommended Reubens, but we decided to try its little brother, Charlie, which was on the daily menu. It's definitely worth it. The staff is very friendly, and when they found out we were from Spain, they tried to say a few words or phrases in Spanish. They were very attentive to our needs, and if I return to the city, I'll definitely be back.
