Buddies in Bad Times is a professional queer theatre company founded in 1979, and it has run its own building at 12 Alexander Street, steps from Church and Wellesley, since the 1990s. The programme is new Canadian queer work, cabaret and festival seasons, and it is generally described as the largest queer theatre of its kind in the world. On weekend nights the cabaret space turns into Tallulah's, a long-running queer dance night with a younger and more mixed crowd than the bars on Church Street. Shows and club nights change by season, so check the website before you go.

Great venue. One bar ran out of sprite and didnt tell me i should ask the other bar, i didnt realize there was another bar but i eventually figured it out. Music was amazing, door staff was super helpful (especially the girl, very polite and kind) and of course my fav part was watching Midas perform, my fav queen 🩷🩷 bathroom grafitti was so cute, loved the sharpie cup
