Club El Teatro

This place is disgusting and scary. It's one of the worst clubs in San Jose. People get robbed inside the bar, and management says they can't do anything about it, that it's "normal." You can't even go to the bathroom without being harassed repeatedly. They advertise an open bar, but it's not true. You can't even get water and a beer at the same time. At a certain hour, they say "we're out of beer" after you've paid almost $45 USD for admission. This place is disgusting and honestly feels unsafe. It is one of the worst clubs in San Jose. People get robbed inside the venue, and the management claims there is nothing they can do about it because it's "normal." You can't even go to the restroom without being harassed repeatedly. They advertise an open bar, but that's misleading. You can't even get a beer and a glass of water at the same time, and later in the night they start saying they're "out of beer," even though you've paid nearly $45 USD for admission. Overall, it was a very disappointing and unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

It's good for an open bar, safe, and the people are nice; the atmosphere is controlled.

Excellent for dancing, it has 3 different environments

I went during my vacation at like 2 am. The lady at the front didn't want to take my credit card for the cover, at first. Thank goodness my friend was there to translate and forced her to take my credit card. Once inside the venue is a rather large open area. Cover entry includes open bar and the bartender was very nice. It was a foam party night so the floor was soaked in soap & water, very slippery. However, the music was good and we had a lot of fun. Met a lot of cool people that night and ultimately the "let out" at 4 am was fun!
