Belmont Hill Victorian B & B

They really take you back to the time period. What an excellent experience!

I stayed here approximately 40 years ago when I returned for a visit to Cedar Rapids. It was so amazing to see what had been done to the “old house in the woods” that I had known growing up in the neighborhood. I continue to recommend it to anyone I know who’s visiting CR.

We just enjoyed the best experience of hospitality, history and conversation with Shelly and Ken! Their Belmont Hill Victorian B&B is at the top of excellence! Their talents have created and compliment the work they have done for 29 years to build this lovely place where they live . . . and that they share with others! If you are looking for a comfortable, peaceful, clean, well kept place to stay, this is it! Breakfast was delicious! We eat gluten free, so the best cinnamon apple french toast was served along with fresh fruit, sausage and coffee! The gardening and grounds are lovely! Parking is safe and away from the public.

I arrived with zero expectations as this was my beautiful wife’s birthday surprise to me. Shelly met us right away when we arrived and showed us to our room. I was absolutely blown away by the room. The history of this place is fascinating. We went to breakfast in their main house. The fur babies were super sweet. Shelly and Ken made us breakfast and proceeded to serve us. The hospitality was spot on. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The best part was conversing with Shelly about the history of the place, politics, religion, and bragging about our children. Five stars is not enough for this review. Honestly this a ten out of five stars experience. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with your significant other this is it!

This was our second time staying at Belmont Hill Victorian B&B. Once again, everything was spectacular--the comfortable rooms, the grounds, the breakfast (food and flowers!) and the visit with Shelley and Ken. They are excellent inn-keepers and are so focused on the comfort of their guests. If you are in Cedar Rapids and need the best place to overnight or stay a week, check them out.

We had a wonderful stay in a very clean, well appointed room. It was quiet and peaceful. The bed very comfy. The flower beds were beautiful. Breakfast was delicious 😋. This is a proper bed and breakfast. We haven't stayed at one for years. We felt spoiled. Such a wonderful way to start each day.

We loved our stay at Belmont Hill B & B and would absolutely go back. It is truly an oasis within the city and is close proximity to many attractions. If you are looking for a unique stay with a personal touch and yummy breakfast, definitely stay here!

This B&B is an incredible value all around . The owners have done a wonderful job maintaining and personalizing the grounds and rooms. Breakfast was delicious and the owners have so much knowledge on the history of the estate. Location wise the freeway is closely accessible but the neighborhood was quiet. This will be my place to stay in Cedar Rapids from now on! We will be back soon!

I've never been, but it looks good.

I didn't stay here myself so I hope this review is okay. My wife and I don't have the space to host relatives and this is the perfect place to send them. Her parents loved it and raved about how clean and nice this B & B is.

Loved this place. The age alone is amazing! Everything was super clean the yard was beautifully manicured. We saw deer and rabbits from our room window. Super spacious. Breakfast was delicious and they were so kind.
