The Inn At Middleton Place, LLC

Its a restful place. Our room 211 needed some work/ renovation. Many of our shutters were broken and would’t close of work right. The AC also wouldn’t cool to the set temp and we had to request a fan to stay comfortable in the 75 degree plus room. The staff were great and helpful. The place seemed unkept with lots of things for the grounds that needed done. Tall weeds, tall grass, tree debris, leaves, branches, logs, were everywhere. My wife and I got chigger bites just walking the paths. Great views and super relaxed atmosphere. A contradiction being a modern contemporary design in a completely unmanaged forest setting. IMO The entire site just seemed dirty and in need of some upkeep. You will see wildlife and experience insects there! Be aware!

This beautiful property was so much more than expected. The staff was so nice and professional, and they really showed they cared. I only felt not at ease at the restaurant attached to the gardens. The rooms are amazing, structured as if they are tree houses. The combination between the wood, concrete, and marble was very interesting. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was hard to figure out how to get the hot water to come out. The lounge was a great place to chill and have a drink. Be mindful that the restaurant is closed every Sunday/Monday, so if you don't bring food with yourself you must leave the property to find food, and that is at least a 20 minute drive back towards Charleston. If you decide to sit outside by the firepits, make sure you have socks and long pants because the sandfleas will eat you alive; chiggers as well. The breakfast buffet was nice, and you have a choice to eat outside on the deck or inside.

Second time staying here, it’s not as good as the first. We were able to get a room in the same building. It’s our first visit, which was nice. However, upon entering our room, there is an extremely heavy smell of smoke from the fireplace. It covered everything in the room. The floors were also extremely dirty, our feet turned black, just walking across it. Rather request that our room be properly cleaned in order for the floor to not be covered in sick, however, this do not help with the heavy smoke smell that linger throughout our stay. All the rooms do have would bring fireplaces, which is nice, in our room last year did not have the lettuce, smell of smoke, but this year our room entire fireplace mode. Or stay was great. The location absolutely cannot be beat. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. Breakfast and very good and happy hour is always a treat. Will likely be back, however, we do hope that some changes are made to the cleanliness of the rooms and possibly updating them in the future, as they are very outdated.

Beautiful location with decent amenities, including breakfast a short walk away. There's plenty to do here, including touring Middleton Grounds, horseback riding, or going on a short drive to visit Magnolia Plantation. If you're willing to go on a longer drive, there's also the Bee City zoo to visit. In the other direction, you can also check out the Charleston Aquarium or Flowetown Charm. We enjoyed our stay due to the beauty of the location, as well as the proximity to the activities we wanted to do. It was a quiet stay and I'd recommend staying here if you're ever in the area.

This a amazing place to stay. The rooms are very spacious on have a good "I am in the woods" feel. Wall filled with big blinded windows. Open all the blinds and nothing but outdoors feel. Absolutely nice if you want that out in the middle of nowhere (which we did) Had a nice fireplace that was actually met to be used. With plenty of wood to burn. More wood just outside the room. Ready to burn wood to. Not that fresh green stuff you struggle to get sarted and smoke you out. Even of the outdoorsy field, they are aiming for the property is still maintained.Very well nice walking paths. There is a nice little bar(also with a fireplace) the gentleman that was working was very informative on how to do his job right, cannot say enough good things about him. Plenty of outdoor sitting to enjoy a drink or just nature. Quite a few separate burning pits to enjoy while outdoors. There was a nice looking pool very clean although it was not swimming weather (I was actually supprised how well maintained off season) There is a nice breakfast in the lakehouse I believe it was called. The food was good and a bit above average and everything thing seemed clean. You could eat inside or out on a deck ouside. We choose outside to continue enjoying nature. The is a restaurant connected if you walk the trail. They only open certain days so check. Just behoned that is the garden which you are a ticket for while at tha Inn. So you could drive to the garden or just walk. When it is open of course. The gradens are very nice as well but that is a different reveiw. Already planning our next trip to the inn. If you are the outdoors type is place is definitely worth concideration in my opinion.
