Hot Woks Cool Sushi

We easily got a table with no wait. Service was immediate and consistent, and it was easy to hold a conversation in the casual, laid back atmosphere. We really enjoy this place and for by every time we visit Chicago. Definitely recommend!

I had takeout here. It was mid. Overpriced.

My friend and I got sushi from this place. We got a California roll and a shrimp tempura roll and they left us feeling sick with severe stomach pain for the rest of the day. Our server barely said a word to us; when we spoke to her and asked her for something she just walked away. The payment system was also very confusing for people splitting the check by the food items they got.

I’ve been coming here for more than 15 years, almost always getting the pad see ewe, and it has never let me down! They are always incredibly fast and efficient with service, and the food is consistently good. Any time I’m in the loop to see a musical, I’m almost always here getting a meal beforehand. Cant recommend enough!

My mom and I wanted to try this spot since it’s near the Art Institute, and we’re so glad we did. The place feels cozy and easy to relax in, and the food was really good. We had the tuna avocado salad and rolls, both fresh and super satisfying. Thanks to Micky for the friendliest service and being so sweet. I’d definitely come back again.

The hot food like any of their noodle dishes or meat entrees are terrible. Like absolutely flat out garbage. Meat is unseasoned. They should really focus on being only a sushi place. They should jot down hot food beyond maybe an appetizer. Portions are ridiculously small and under flavored for the price. I had to add my own ingredients to make it taste right.

Love it. Simple place, always good, always fast and the service is consistently friendly. Also, moderately priced! 👍
