What reviewers say

De Lido Motel
De Lido Motel is a basic mainstream roadside motel at 20266 Woodward Avenue in Detroit, just south of 8 Mile Road, listed as gay-friendly. It is not a gay motel. The appeal is position and price: Ferndale, the suburb with the Detroit area's main cluster of gay bars and businesses, starts just north along Woodward.
This is a car-dependent stretch, and the motel has mixed reviews, averaging 3.6 on Google from about 200 guests. Look at recent photos and comments, and ask about parking and security before you book.

Management was pretty decent to deal with the rooms are very old fashioned but from what i saw the rooms were clean enough to be comfortable at night though i cant exactly say much about the area except for you better be used to bus noises and lots of yelling and occasional gunfire
