Had a great time celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary here. The food was phenomenal and the staff had a very nice card ready for us at the table showing great hospitality. Would definitely return when we are back in the area!
Unfortunately, our overall experience at The Fountain Room was disappointing. This was my third time visiting. My first visit was phenomenal, my second was just okay but not bad, however this most recent visit was not a good experience. I was there celebrating my birthday with family and friends. The service was poor and very inconsistent. Our server, Zach, repeatedly forgot things, was not very engaged, and would disappear for long periods of time before returning to the table. The food was fair at best, with some items coming out incorrectly. At that point, we chose not to ask for corrections because our server was already slacking in several areas and we were concerned that it would take an unreasonable amount of time to get the corrected items. Unfortunately, everyone’s food also came out cold. We understand that restaurants can have off days, but the combination of the poor service, incorrect and cold food, and lack of attentiveness made for a very disappointing experience. Based on this visit, I would not be comfortable recommending The Fountain Room to others, and it has unfortunately made me hesitant to return.
We celebrated a 30th birthday tonight. It was magical. It started with the best waitress experience we may have ever had. Meg was not only delightful, she was a wealth of knowledge on the menu and recommending choices. Her recommendations were spot on and dinner was great. We have historically done St Elmo’s in Indy. This was a great, great alternative. Highly recommended!!
We had an incredible experience at The Fountain Room! The atmosphere is fantastic, the food was outstanding, and the service truly made the evening. A huge thank you to Becca for taking such great care of us. She was attentive, friendly, and helped make the entire experience exceptional. The steaks were cooked absolutely perfectly, and everything we ordered was excellent. But whatever you do, don’t skip the Brussels sprouts—they were easily some of the best I’ve ever had! Great food, great atmosphere, and incredible service. We’ll definitely be back!
Menus were very well put together. Food quality & flavor was just “ok” nothing memorable.
Went for my brother’s 30th birthday tomorrow and our waiter Meg has the same birthday! She was amazing and had great food suggestions. The halibut was amazing! Happy birthday Meg! Come celebrate your birthday with Meg for a great time!
Meg was awesome! Came in for an early b-day dinner and learned that we share a birthday! The service was fantastic and food was delicious!
