West Bottoms Plant Co

Let me start off by saying this is a lovely shop, with tons of variety and I love that they support local artists and businesses throughout the shop. The staff have always been very helpful and knowledgeable! Unfortunately, it seems every plant I have got from here has had a pretty nasty infestation of some level. Mostly spider mites and mealy bugs. I got a plant a few months back that turned out to have had an outbreak of both. Stopped in and got a few more today which also unfortunately have pests — spider mites already spotted (webbing, dead leaf/stem, etc) but looks like possible thrip damage too. They do have an amazing variety of plants, and I did cross some off my ISO list today, which was nice. Just unfortunate that I will now have to extensively treat these before introducing to my home — and pray they make it, as there’s no guarantee they will pull through, as with any pest infestation treatment on plants, it’s never a 100%.

Cute local plant shop that's also home to a craft cafe. The plant selection isn't the biggest I've ever seen, but there's still plenty to choose from and a reasonable price range. They also sell other local wares, and the place is bursting with character that you will never find at a big box store.

ADHDiy is a gem in Kansas City. It’s a great place to take your friends and family to have some creative time.

Spotted several infestations within 5 minutes of walking in the door (spidermites, mealy bugs, fungus gnats). Outrageous prices on the majority of plants. Must be charging extra for the bugs too lol

West Bottoms Plant Co is a gem for Kansas City because of not just their offerings (so many local artists and vendors' work) but also because of the ethos of their business and brand - you can feel the love they put into this space, and how they treat every customer that comes through the door. I've enjoyed each visit thoroughly and always look forward to coming back. There's so much to see and appreciate here, not to mention one of the best places for a gift in town. I'm so glad they're here in Kansas City.

A cute plant shop with lots to choose from! There’s a lot of other knick knacks and things inside as well. I only wish their plant prices were a bit more on the lower end.

Was there today and the lady was not nice. Spent $170 left tip did not get a thank you. Was never asked if I needed help. No communication at all. I’m a man of color and the lady at shop seemed very uncomfortable with me in shop. Extremely awkward
