Rodeway Inn Clearwater-Largo

Overall was a fantastic stay. I had a family of 11, arrived at 6am, and they allowed check in earlier than usual for us. I seen reviews where they had bedbugs, which is false. There are absolutely no bugs. They are in the midst of upgrading tho. My rooms were up to date an HUGE, bathroom was very large as well. (I got 2 rooms not just one for a 4 night stay.) Staff were as friendly as can be, pool was clean and my kids loved it. They allowed us to order pizza and have it on the deck of the pool to eat while playing our music. (Which was kinda loud, & no one had a problem with it.) Its super close to gas stations, & grocery stores, which helped out a lot. Only 7-9miles from Bellair Shore or Clearwater Beach. Highly recommend this hotel.

I am a contractor who travels nationwide and recently stayed at this property. Some of the previous reviews seemed to be from daily guests who were expecting the Hilton. From a contractor's point of view, this hotel is EXCELLENT. It is affordable, clean, comfortable, convenient, and the staff goes above and beyond to make contractors feel welcome. Ample parking and room out back to set up a gas grill! My crew loved dining at Huarache Azteca Cantina, which is just up the road. Now it's my go-to hotel in the Clearwater-Largo area when installing fiber. I am a contractor who travels nationwide and recently stayed at this hotel. The customer service was absolutely terrible. Unfortunately for me it was 3am and I was too tired to look for anywhere else, but every single staff I’ve spoken to has been extremely rude, not to mention I got my rights violated and they asked for documents on my service animal and accused me of lying, then when I confronted the manager she backed up those employees saying that I should have told them ahead of time I had the dog, which by law I’m not required to, but apparently that somehow makes it okay they my rights were violated and I had to spend time that I was trying to use resting after a 20 hour drive, dealing with accusations and hostility, and wife that’s deals with crippling anxiety that is now completely uneasy and has been worried and restless all morning since. The amount of disrespect and hostility and lack of professionalism or even just abiding by the law, has literally actually made this the worst stay I’ve ever had with any hotel any where, would never stay at any rode way inn again, I mentioned the fact it was an almost 2 star customer rating and that now it was starting to make sense why, and the general managers response was “well you chose to stay with us” please save your money and just go sleep in your car in the Cracker Barrel parking lot, they allow free overnight parking and you’ll be more comfortable there, if I hadn’t already spent my money or if they were offering any sort of refund I’d just leave now, but unfortunately I’ve already paid for another night.. wish me luck, don’t be like me, be smart

Garbage. First: the men "in charge" were shady and creepy as hell. They have the personalities of a chewed up gummy bear covered in hair stuck to the toilet seat in a port-o-potty. Borderline murder type weird and rude. Second: after paying for my room online, was told there was an additional $25 deposit fee upon arrival that would be refunded upon DEPARTURE... BULLCRAP! Upon departure it was INSISTED that I did NOT pay this $25 and then justified that I did BUT it would not be refunded because we checked out 2 minutes past the deadline. Third: the room was absolutely disgusting. Roach crawling up the wall mere moments after entering the room. Light switches malfunctioned and everything just gross. Ill stop ranting BUT this place is foul and not acceptable for human habitation. Zero stars.
