Taverna Costera

I think taverna should stick to just being a restaurant and not an outdoor music venue. Yesterday was first Friday, and while it’s understood that it’s extremely busy outside, not allowing the musicians who play at the venue to use the restroom seems a bit extreme. Even after telling the bathroom attendant that drinks were purchased at the bar, we were still directed to the porta potties across the street because we didn’t have a receipt, even though we did have wristbands given by the bartender. The bartender also didn’t tell us we should hold on to our receipt as a ticket into the restroom. It feels weird and rude to invite bands to play at the venue and not allow them to utilize a very basic accommodation. I am curious if the singer who was preforming inside was not allowed into the bathroom as well, or if it’s just if you’re playing on the patio. The food is fine, a little overpriced, but so is everything downtown.

Max is great!! Prime location in the Arts District and watched the 2nd half of the World Cup final here and I’m glad we stopped by for a couple drinks!! I will definitely come back when in Vegas!

Update… they changed back to a basic Cesar salad and it was not good at all. Very disappointed. Being different and being authentic is a good thing don’t change something just to fit in with the standard. went here for first Friday yesterday and I had one of the BEST chicken cesar salads of my life! I will be going back again tomorrow to have it. 10/10

A fantastic find! We had a wonderful meal; the dishes were delicious, generous, and prepared with care. The value for money is excellent: the prices are very reasonable compared to other restaurants, while still offering very high quality. The staff is welcoming and the service is pleasant. I highly recommend this establishment and will gladly return!
