Davis County Pride

Davis County Pride is the LGBTQ+ nonprofit that serves Layton and the wider Davis County community in northern Utah. Founded in 2021 in response to a local controversy over Pride flags in Davis School District classrooms, the volunteer-run 501(c)(3) has grown into the area's central organizer for queer visibility, advocacy and family-friendly programming north of Salt Lake City. The group is best known for the annual Davis County Pride Festival, held each spring at Layton Commons Park (437 N Wasatch Dr). The free, family-oriented event draws thousands of attendees along with well over a hundred vendors, community booths, live entertainment and drag performances. Beyond the festival, Davis County Pride runs year-round meetups and support activities for LGBTQ+ residents in a historically conservative county, making it the most important queer community anchor in Layton itself.
