Lamplighter Lounge

The Lamplighter Lounge is a small dive bar at 1702 Madison Avenue in Midtown, a few blocks east of Dru's Place. A March 2026 Focus Mid-South feature describes drag every Monday at 8pm, hosted by local queens Hunny Blunt and India Taco, plus burlesque and karaoke nights. The owners don't call it a gay bar, but they say it's a place where queer and trans people can count on being safe, and its drag night is one of the city's regulars. Google rates it 4.4 from about 250 reviews. We list it as gay-friendly. Hours vary, so check its website or social pages before going on a weeknight.
