I have enjoyed Lipstick Lounge in the past but I had a really bad experience. The people who were there were pretty great, but I had a pretty big issue with a bartender. The bartender got annoyed with my friend not knowing exactly what they wanted, which is understandable on a busy night. However, as a bartender myself, I think holding your composure is very important. I ordered myself a water because I wasn't drinking heavily and the bartender gave me a USED glass from another customer. I gave the benefit of the double, but the line was already used and the ice was mostly melted, and then I tasted liquor in my drink. This isn't acceptable on any level, and can be dangerous for multiple reasons. I had been respectful and tipping quite well, so I don't understand the anger. That alone is what warranted the lower rating.

Loved this place. Super cute, clean and great food/drinks. Can't wait to visit again!

Great Bar for Humans. Very friendly staff. Good drinks. Food was good. The sports bar "Chapstick" great concept. Tons of tvs, seating and nice dart and pool table area.

Best LGBTQ+ bar in Nashville, hands down. Awesome brunch, drag shows, karaoke almost all the time. The staff is exemplary - fun, sweet, and kind. A place for good people to find good people.

I’m very disappointed by how my friends and I were treated during our recent visit to Lipstick Lounge. We arrived around 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, expecting the bar to be open until 3:00 a.m. (as advertised online). A man working the door informed us that last call had already been made because “they were slow and wanted to go home,” even though several customers were still drinking and smoking on the patio. We fully understood the bar was closing and only asked to wait briefly inside for our Uber, since it was cold and raining outside. Instead, the staff refused and treated us with sarcasm and hostility. One employee, who appeared intoxicated, even made unnecessary comments implying we thought laws should change “just for us.” After explaining that we were only waiting for a ride, she apologized when she realized we had mutual friends — but by then, the bouncer told us to leave immediately, forcing us back out into the rain. We did not ask for service or drinks, only courtesy while a ride was on the way. It’s shocking and disappointing to encounter this kind of treatment at a place that promotes itself as welcoming and inclusive. We were loyal customers who had spent significant money there the night before, but this experience left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected.
