Ive always had a pleasant time but when I came for my second round there was a black woman who he was very rude to. She said do you stay open to 4AM and was like absolutely not!. She tried to ask why and he refused service and this was about 3:10. If she was charging her phone then finally trying to get drinks why would he respond this way? She honestly was trying to calm him down and he continued with “your out” “thank you”. But he just poured my shot and beer. This is highly inappropriate. The Knicks just won and could have said no upon entry. He was an old white man and if this is the owner maybe get younger people to work the bar who aren’t sensitive. There are better ways to go about this. He was in the wrong, not her

IF YOU’RE BLACK, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Despite seeing all the negative reviews me and my friends decided to give this place a chance during a bar crawl on my bday. All I can say is that all the negative reviews are completely accurate. The bartender (this bald guy with glasses that seems to be celebrity in these reviews) was extremely rude to everyone in my group EXCPET for my white boyfriend…. Funny how that works. He ignored my friends and then when he finally gave them the time of day, yelled at them for taking pics and placing a small purse on the bar (to pay, mind you!), and initially refused to remake an incorrect order. Funny again how that order only got remade when my boyfriend complained but when my black friend complained he was argued with… it’s so sad to see lgbtq+ spaces not only participate in racism but then also excuse it! Because when my boyfriend complained to the manager the only excuse he could come up with for his racist employee was that “maybe he’s having a bad night”…. I don’t know in what world it’s acceptable to take out your bad mood on your patrons let alone how a bad mood translates to treating your black customers poorly and disrespectfully but this clear display of dismissal just proves that racism is welcomed inside those four walls.
