Lucky hostel

It was a really bad hostel, not clean at all. I deeply regret choosing this place, but thankfully I only stayed for one day. The place you see in the photos is nothing like it is. Don't believe it.

The accommodation wasn't very clean, and the breakfast was unfortunately rather meager… however, the location is very good.

You get what you pay for! We spent three nights here when we first arrived in Egypt. They serve a traditional Egyptian breakfast every morning, which is delicious, and the staff are friendly. Note that laundry is charged per item, covering washing, drying, and ironing — so if you have a lot of clothes to wash while traveling, this might not be the most convenient option. The hotel isn’t close to major tourist attractions, except for the Khan el-Khalili night market. One downside: arriving at night can feel a bit creepy. The building lights are off, you have to ring the bell to get someone to open the door and turn on the lights, and the elevator ride up feels a little eerie.

I admit that other people's reviews influenced my decision to book this hotel. However, I now believe that most of them were written by fake accounts or bots that have never actually visited the location. None of the previous guests mentioned the hideous and terrifying staircase, nor the elevator, which looks as if it’s about to break down and get stuck; it is in a deplorable state. ​The windows are very poorly sealed with a gap of 10 cm, so you can hear everything happening on the street. I understand the hotel is in the city center, but it was a very frustrating experience. On my last night, a falafel vendor started operating in the street at 4:00 AM. Between the noise and the smell of frying oil coming through the poorly sealed windows, it was impossible to fall asleep. ​Regarding the room: the bathroom &, the room it self ware in very poor condition and no one cleaned the room during my three-day stay. ​To mention positives: the Wi-Fi worked excellently, and the staff were very polite. I traveled solo and felt safe, but I believe the price is too high for the quality provided. Next time, I will choose a different location to ensure I have properly sealed windows and a quieter night

Location and security are good, quite quiet. The building has an elevator, there are supermarkets and cheap falafel fast food nearby. The room is unfortunately ready for renovation, the water in the bathroom is leaking everywhere on the floor, the shower is leaking water on the entire hose. Breakfast is correct

I liked the service and breakfasts. Also felt safe here (plus people downstairs feed the dogs and cats so 4 stars!) BUT please use the most recent photos of the rooms in booking platforms.

Hotel owner ask us for a price. On booking it was far lower, so we notice this. Then they say us to book directly on booking but in the meantime they change booking price trying to screw us over

A great hostel at a great price! We paid 40 PLN per night per person, including a delicious breakfast served in the room. The hostel is located in the center of Cairo and is easily accessible by taxi. The staircase is scary, but the hostel is cozy. The staff is 5/5; it's easy to communicate in English. After checking out, you can leave your luggage and go sightseeing. After arriving at the hostel (at night), we were very thirsty and didn't have change to buy some. The receptionist went out and bought us water. He didn't want any money for it. I've never encountered such friendly service in Egypt. The rooms were quite clean, and there were no bedbugs (which was the most important thing for us). The air conditioning is so fast and powerful that sometimes it was too cold 😅 Cons: The rooms need renovation; the walls are swollen, which isn't healthy, but that's Cairo, you know. A few ants, maybe some insect repellent would be useful. We didn't use the duvets because they were in the closet and didn't look hygienic. I'd suggest using a sheet rather than a duvet. There's no shower curtain – the shower head didn't work, and we had to shower under the shower head, which splashed water all over the bathroom. Of course, you can't expect much for that price, but I still rate the hostel 10/10 for the service and location. I've stayed in worse ones in Poland, and they were much more expensive. I highly recommend it. Edit: I forgot to add that they have very fast WiFi and it's quiet at night.
